NangAn Seafood Restaurant
Sitting directly on the beachfront in Ao Nang, this seafood restaurant draws visitors primarily for its spectacular coastal setting rather than its cuisine. The outdoor seating area overlooks the beach, making it a popular choice for catching the sunset after a day of island hopping or exploring Krabi's shoreline. A designated play area for children adds appeal for families, and the venue features two distinct zones — an open beach-facing seating area and a bar section with live music, giving the place a lively evening atmosphere. The menu centres on seafood, though visitor reviews consistently note that the food is average rather than exceptional. Friendly staff and the undeniable draw of the view make it a reasonable stop for a meal or drink, particularly for travellers prioritising atmosphere over culinary ambition. The kitchen is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 without exception, giving visitors flexibility to drop in for lunch, dinner, or a late afternoon bite. The outdoor seating is limited and fills quickly around sunset, so arriving before 18:00 is advisable for those wanting a prime spot with a view. The location in Ao Nang's busy tourist corridor means casual beach attire is perfectly acceptable. The restaurant maintains a Facebook page where current offerings may be posted. Given the setting and trade-off between views and food quality, it suits travellers who want a relaxed, scenic dining experience rather than a dedicated seafood feast.

Visitor Reviews
The restaurant located by the beach is stunning location. The area has a play area for little one to go and play. Beach sitting was amazing overlooking the beach. Food wise, one thing I enjoyed most was the coconut curry seafood, very good spicy taste to it. Overall, quite enjoy my experience here the dish that I ordered gave me the wow factor. Not sure about other dishes if they were good or not but happy with what i had.
We were able to catch the last of the sunset here and when we arrived it was quite packed. The food was satisfying and the taste was good. They have two areas, one is the beach bar part with a band. The second area is more the seafood restaurant part and you can see a lot of families enjoying their meal in this area. The staff was polite and seemed to do their best. It was an overall satisfying experience.
Came here for late lunch mainly because of the beautiful seafront view, and I must say the view did not disappoint — it’s definitely the highlight of this place. However, the food was rather mediocre. The Pad Thai was too wet and lacked the usual depth of flavor, and the Pineapple Fried Rice, though beautifully presented, wasn’t aromatic or flavorful. It looked better than it tasted. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the sea breeze and a relaxing atmosphere by the beach, this spot delivers. But if you're coming purely for the food, it might not meet your expectations.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
