Best Thai Street Food
Tucked away in the Ao Nang area of Krabi, this evening street food market draws locals and travellers alike with its combination of food stalls and casual night market shopping. It operates as a small open-air venue split between vendors selling ready-to-eat dishes and others offering market goods, creating a relaxed, neighbourhood atmosphere that feels a step removed from the polished restaurants along the main beach strip. The food offering leans heavily into Thai classics and fresh seafood, with visitors regularly picking up pad thai, grilled fish, BBQ prawns, clams, and tom yum soup, along with crowd-pleasers like mango sticky rice. Prices are notably lower than comparable options closer to the beachfront, with some dishes available for as little as 80 Baht. Portion sizes have been described as on the smaller side by some visitors, so arriving with an appetite and planning to sample from multiple stalls tends to work well. Western options are also available for those travelling with less adventurous eaters. Good to know: the market opens daily from 4pm and runs until 10pm, making it well-suited for an early evening meal. As with any street food setting, freshness and food hygiene can vary between individual stalls, so it is worth being observant about preparation practices and choosing stalls with visible turnover of food. Arriving earlier in the evening generally means fresher stock and shorter waits.

Visitor Reviews
Definitely a must visit if you're in the Ao Nang area, authentic thai street food (with western options available) for half to a third the price of the main beach strip. Portion sizes are on the smaller end of the scale, but it encourages you to have a variety of dishes. Not all the stalls are open during the day, with a lot opening at 4pm. A great place to come whether you're solo, with a group, or with the family.
Lovely and authentic Pad Thai for 80 Baht. Our go to for a quick lunch. The staff is smiling and friendly, and everything seems clean.
Small market , half with some night market shopping half with street foods. We tried one of the street foods stall with grilled fish , bbq prawn , clams, tomyam soup.. big portions and cheap, most importantly, very delicious!! Worth for money.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
