Smith & Co. (One Bangkok)
Tucked into the ground floor of The Storeys at One Bangkok, Smith & Co. has built a strong following for its hearty Western-style menu in the heart of the Pathum Wan district. The restaurant draws consistent crowds for its burgers — particularly a truffle burger that has attracted significant attention for its theatrical presentation and bold flavour — alongside generously portioned pastas and classic dishes like Caesar salad. The combination of familiar comfort food executed with care and a polished mall setting has made it a reliable choice for both casual lunches and group dinners. The atmosphere sits comfortably within One Bangkok's modern, air-conditioned environment, making it a practical refuge from the Bangkok heat. Groups are well catered for, with advance reservations available through an online booking process that past diners describe as straightforward. Staff receive consistent praise for attentiveness, and the kitchen does not impose set menus during busy periods — a detail appreciated by visitors who prefer to order freely. For practical planning, the restaurant is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, covering lunch through to late dinner. One Bangkok is directly accessible via the BTS Skytrain at Ratchadamri or Sala Daeng stations, and the complex offers parking for those arriving by car. Given the truffle burger's growing popularity, booking ahead is advisable for weekend visits or public holidays, when wait times can extend notably.

Visitor Reviews
Smith & Co. Review: Beyond the Viral Burger Smith & Co. has recently gained fame for its highly creative—and potentially divisive—truffle-soaked burger spectacle. While we appreciated the culinary ingenuity, we opted to skip the truffle trend and explore the true capabilities of the kitchen through its classic offerings. The result was a dining experience that proved the kitchen can deliver high quality far beyond its viral fame. Culinary Execution: The Highlights The Baked Macaroni was the clear highlight of the meal. It was prepared beautifully, featuring a generous, melty layer of cheese that cloaked perfectly cooked pasta. Crucially, the pasta maintained the right chewiness (al dente) without becoming overly soft, making it one of the best versions of this comfort dish we’ve had. The Beef Steak was also excellent. It was cooked well and required nothing more than the salt and pepper provided to bring out its flavor. We noted that the accompanying peppercorn sauce was a bit bland, but given the quality of the simply prepared beef, we were happy to forgo the sauce entirely. Room for Improvement My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad , which was fresh and satisfying. However, the chicken was exclusively dark meat. Given that many prefer white meat for a salad, offering a choice of chicken cut would be a welcome improvement for customer preference. Ambiance and Verdict The atmosphere was cozy and pleasantly uncrowded during our visit, a welcome change from the typical weekend wait times this restaurant usually commands. Overall, Smith & Co. succeeds by delivering reliable, high-quality bistro fare that stands on its own merits. While the truffle burger might be the draw for some, we would certainly return for an easy and delicious brunch centered on their excellent comfort food staples.
Delicious isn't enough to describe! We have a small friend reunion with the pax of 6. We had booked in advance. The process was easy. The link on the overall section worked fine. Staffs were very helpful explaining the availability and options. Pasto sauce was the best! The dish was empty too fast for me to take picture 😅
Truffle burger was very delicious! There was a long waiting list considering that I came on Valentine’s day. Great thing was that they didn’t force customers to order some sort of set menu and just let us choose a la carte, despite the special occasion. The price was also fair and not overly expensive.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
