FATT Chicken Rice - One Bangkok
Tucked into the basement level of One Bangkok on Rama IV Road, this compact eatery brings Singaporean-style chicken rice to the heart of Lumphini. The menu centres on khao man gai — poached chicken served over fragrant rice — prepared with a level of consistency that has drawn repeat visitors, including Singaporeans who appreciate the dish's authenticity. Beyond the signature plate, the clay pot rice has also earned praise for its depth of flavour and the characteristic smoky crust at the base of the pot. The setting is modest in size but comfortable, benefiting from the air-conditioned environment of One Bangkok's retail complex. Lunch combos are available at approachable price points, and portions are considered generous for the cost. The restaurant is open every day from 10:30am to 9:30pm, covering both lunch and dinner with no mid-day closure. Good to know: As a small restaurant inside a busy upscale shopping mall, seating is limited and the space can fill quickly during peak lunch and dinner hours. Visiting mid-afternoon on a weekday offers the most relaxed experience. One Bangkok is well connected by public transport, and the surrounding complex provides parking and additional dining options for those making a longer outing of the visit.

I have seen a rise in Lion City's chicken rise in Bangkok recently. Having heard of Fatt for a while and finally had a chance to try. Its a relatively small restaurant situated in ONE Bangkok in B1 level. I wasn't disappointed. Ordered: Chicken rice set Bak kut tea Turnip cake with XO sauce Chicken was plump, tender, juicy and very flavorful. Cooked to perfection to the way i like it. The rice was delicious, but definitely not the best I have tasted so far. The chili was a little bit of a let down in my personal opinion. I like my chili to be a little spicier but theirs tend to lean on the sweeter side. Bak kut tea was a little too sweet. But it was full of ingredients. Price was very reasonable for the size. Turnip cake with XO sauce was a delight. I was worried the XO sauce would be overpowering, but they cooked it to perfection with the right balance. The service staffs were great! Overall really love this restaurant and will definitely be back again with friends!
My second visit to this eatery. The dishes we had was consistent to our last visit. Delicious and pleasing to our plate. Good job! As a Singaporean, I am really proud of the standards set by this eatery. Right from the rice, to the chicken, and even down to the humble looking winter melon soup that comes along with the chicken rice set were well balanced and wonderfully tasty. The Brinjal as well as the mala wanton dishes were great too. If I ever come to One Bangkok in the future, it is to eat at this restaurant again
Tried Fatt Chicken Rice for the first time and it truly hit the spot. This is Chinese comfort food at its finest. The clay pot rice was rich and flavourful, with that perfect smoky touch at the bottom. The Hainanese chicken set? Tender, juicy, and served with fragrant rice that brought the whole dish together. Portions were generous and satisfying. But the real surprise? The soup that came with the meal. It was unexpectedly delicious and full of depth. A hidden gem worth discovering.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
