Axis & Spin Rooftop Restaurant & Bar (38th floor)
Perched on the 38th floor of The Continent Hotel on Sukhumvit Road, this rooftop venue combines fine dining, cocktails, and sweeping panoramic views across Bangkok's skyline. The elevated setting makes it particularly well-suited for sunset watching, with guests regularly noting the city's transformation as day turns to night and Bangkok's lights spread across the horizon. The atmosphere leans relaxed and ambient despite the upscale surroundings — visitors describe chill vibes, good music, and attentive staff, with the space working equally well for a romantic evening, a social drink after work, or a special occasion dinner. The venue functions as a bar, lounge, and fine dining restaurant in one, so guests can tailor their visit accordingly. Hotel guests staying at The Continent can access a dedicated Skyline lounge experience between 5 PM and 7 PM, which past visitors have flagged as strong value. Axis & Spin opens daily at 5 PM and stays open until 2 AM, covering everything from early sunset dinners through to late-night drinks. Smart casual dress is appropriate for the setting. Booking ahead is recommended, especially on weekends and for popular evening time slots. The Sukhumvit Road location offers straightforward access from central Bangkok, and the hotel address makes it easy to find. Weather can occasionally affect open-air rooftop venues, so it is worth checking conditions before heading out.

Visitor Reviews
I was a Skyline guest at the Continent hotel, and I have to say Axis & Spin Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is an absolute standout. The Skyline lounge experience from 5-7 pm is a fantastic value: two small, incredibly delicious dishes crafted with love and creativity, plus complimentary drinks during the same time window. It’s a very valuable offer that sets this place apart. The staff are genuinely amazing. A special shout-out to Ms. Magic, who cared for me in a perfect, thoughtful way and made me feel right at home. It’s rare to encounter such warm, attentive service — Ms. Magic embodies what hospitality should feel like: personal, attentive, and genuinely kind. The views from the rooftop pair beautifully with the inventive menu; each bite felt like a small culinary celebration. If you’re visiting, make sure to take advantage of the Skyline lounge timing and enjoy the exemplary service. Axis & Spin is now firmly on my must-visit list whenever I’m in town.
Perfect place to relax, see the beautiful sunsets, awesome view, great music, relaxed and ambient atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is perfect! I only wish I can visit again one day. Will definitely book with Sky benefits. The service is super friendly and professional. My best recommendation. All staff have been awesome.
It was nice breakfast. It was my daughter’s birthday and staffs servered a cake with singing for her. Special thanks for Khaw, Jam, Oil, Som. Foods were good and beautifully decorated. The view from high floor was also nice.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
