AFTERSUN Music Bar
Situated along Thanon Utarakit in Krabi's Pak Nam district, AFTERSUN Music Bar doubles as a genuinely strong dining destination alongside its role as an evening music venue. Visitors consistently praise the Thai food as a highlight in its own right, with rice dishes, generous portions, and flavourful cooking drawing repeat diners throughout their stay in Krabi. The atmosphere strikes a balance between energetic and relaxed, with live music providing a lively backdrop without overwhelming conversation. The venue draws a mix of travellers and locals, and the service earns particular praise for being attentive throughout the evening. Prices sit slightly above comparable spots in the area, though reviewers broadly agree the food and drink quality justifies the difference. For those with dietary restrictions or vegetarian requirements, options are noted as limited, so it is worth checking ahead. Good to know: AFTERSUN opens every night of the week from 6 PM until midnight, making it a flexible option for both spontaneous evenings and planned outings. Arriving earlier in the evening offers a quieter, more relaxed experience, while later hours tend to be livelier once the music is in full swing. Check the Facebook page linked on their listing before visiting if you want to plan around a specific live music night or event.

Visitor Reviews
Food was fantastic and the place has a chill vibe with excellent service, staff were always available and my flass never ran dry. More expensive than similar restaurants, but the quality makes up for the cost, I will be coming back in the near future.
We stayed in krabi for three days it was near to our resort so which we checked out for the dinner on the first day the rice options here are so tasty and affordable so we had all our dinner for 3 days in Aftersun. Such a great ambiance and service.
I’ve been traveling around Thailand for months and this is the best food I’ve had by FAR. Wandered upon it walking the streets in Krabi, and everything was absolutely amazing. The food, the people, the atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend!

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
