Ruanthip Bistro restaurant
Tucked into a residential pocket of Pak Nam in central Krabi, this large Thai restaurant draws a predominantly local crowd — a reliable indicator of authenticity. The venue offers multiple seating configurations, including standard indoor, air-conditioned indoor, and outdoor areas, making it a comfortable choice regardless of the weather. The menu leans heavily toward seafood and classic Thai dishes, with an extensive selection of non-alcoholic drinks alongside the food offerings. Repeat visitors highlight the mango sticky rice and traditional Thai curries as standout dishes. For those who enjoy bold, spicy flavours, asking for dishes from the Thai-language menu rather than the foreigner-adapted version is worth considering — the difference in preparation is notable. Pricing sits comfortably in the mid-range, and the kitchen maintains consistent standards; several visitors returned multiple times during a single stay without any complaints about quality or food safety. The restaurant is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, covering both lunch and dinner throughout the week. Its location on Nueaurat Road makes it a practical stop when exploring Krabi town or preparing for day trips to nearby islands and beaches. As no website is listed, walk-ins are the standard approach. Weekdays tend to be quieter and more comfortable for dining, as the restaurant draws larger crowds on weekends.

Visitor Reviews
We visited this place five times during our stay. It’s mostly frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. The food is excellent — you don’t need to worry about food poisoning at all. Prices are fair and still much cheaper than in European restaurants, and the menu offers a very wide selection of dishes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Communication in English can sometimes be a bit difficult, but Google Translate works perfectly. They are always kind and greet you with a smile. If you’re a foreigner looking for a good restaurant where you can enjoy tasty, reliable food, this is definitely the place to go.
Huge place; indoors, indoors with extra a/c, outdoors. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood, frequented by the well-to-do Thai. Extensive food and (non-alcoholic) drinks menu. Mostly seafood, big-size portions. Good quality. Recommended.
Clean, good food and reasonable prices❤️ Will be sure to revisit the next time I'm in town😊 Best to visit on weekdays to avoid crowds.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
