KhongThomNuea Hot Stream Waterfall Krabi
Tucked within Khlong Thom District's lush interior, this natural hot spring waterfall offers something genuinely different from Krabi's coastal attractions. Warm, mineral-rich water flows through a series of shallow channels and natural pools set against dense tropical forest, creating an outdoor bathing experience that draws both locals and travellers looking beyond the beach circuit. Many visitors pair the stop with a trip to the nearby Emerald Pool, as the two sites sit roughly 20 minutes apart by car and complement each other well as a half-day excursion. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried. Several pools of varying depth allow visitors to wade, soak, or simply take in the surroundings at their own pace. The warm water is particularly appreciated on cooler or windier days, when the contrast between the thermal streams and the open air is most noticeable. The walk through the surrounding jungle adds to the appeal, with the natural setting doing most of the work. Good to know: Wear swimwear and bring water shoes or sandals with grip, as the rocky terrain between pools can be slippery, especially after rain. No opening hours are publicly listed, so plan to arrive during daylight and confirm local access conditions before heading out. Basic facilities on-site may be limited, so carry drinking water, sunscreen, and any essentials you need. The cooler months from November to February tend to offer the most comfortable soaking conditions.

Hot Spring Pool – Deeply Relaxing.. We visited the Hot Spring Pool after Emerald Pool, and it took us about 20 minutes by car to reach there. It makes for a perfect next stop and feels extremely relaxing after all the walking. Tickets & Entry: Entry fee: 200 THB per person You can also buy a shuttle ticket for 20 THB, which takes you directly to the hot spring pool The walk to the pool is around 500 meters and is very beautiful, surrounded by nature Since it was afternoon time and we were with kids, we chose the shuttle, but if you have the energy, the walk is definitely worth it. Facilities & Experience: Changing rooms are available, so make sure to carry your swimsuit The water temperature ranges between 35°C to 40°C, so it is quite hot My 4-year-old daughter was initially hesitant and found the water too hot, but after some time, she started enjoying it Not fully sure how suitable it is for very young kids or toddlers, so parents should decide based on comfort There are multiple hot spring pools, almost like natural jacuzzis, and the water is constantly flowing, which keeps it clean. The entire area is surrounded by big green trees, making the experience calm and refreshing. You can comfortably spend about an hour here. After that, I personally felt my body temperature starting to rise, though this can vary from person to person. Food & Amenities: There is a large food court and small shops near the entrance Food is good, and you’ll also find vegetarian options Try the tacos — they were really yummy! Tips: Carry water Wear light, airy clothes Bring a cap and sunglasses, especially in the afternoon Overall, the Hot Spring Pool is a must-visit for adults and incredibly relaxing. A perfect way to unwind and end the day feeling refreshed and calm. ⭐ Highly recommended for relaxation lovers!
We joined a group tour, after Emerald Pool we made our way to the hot springs. We were not really sure what to expect, but hoping for the best. It was pretty amazing. several different pools, with different temperatures of water. All of the water was very hot, and felt amazing when we soaked in it. Just as our time was up it started to rain. It was perfect timing and a great experience. The shop at the entrance to the pools had coffee, tea and snacks. There were also washrooms and change rooms available. The ground was uneven and not flat, I would not recommend if you require assistant to walk or balance. Erin EnD Adventures
The Hot Springs in Krabi are an amazing spot to relax. It is an especially good place to visit during windy or cooler weather, where you can really appreciate soaking in the warm baths. It feels just like a natural jacuzzi in the middle of the jungle! Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
