Moment's Notice Jazz Club
Moment's Notice Jazz Club brings a genuine live music experience to Chiang Mai's nightlife scene, standing out from the city's more tourist-focused bars with a consistent focus on jazz performance. Located on Wua Lai Road within easy reach of the Saturday Night Market, the venue hosts multiple live bands per day, with sets typically featuring saxophone, double bass, drums, and vocals. The atmosphere is sophisticated without being stuffy, attracting a relaxed mix of locals, expats, and visitors who appreciate quality music alongside their drinks. Guests can choose between indoor seating and an outdoor area — a useful option for those who find the live sound a little loud inside. The drinks menu covers cocktails and beer, and finger food is available for a light bite between sets. Live jazz tends to kick off around 9.30pm, making this a natural late-evening stop rather than an early-night venue. Mid-range pricing reflects the live entertainment on offer. Opening hours and nightly schedules are not consistently listed online, so checking the venue's social media pages or calling ahead before visiting is advisable to confirm performance times. Smart-casual dress fits the atmosphere well. The Wua Lai Road Night Market nearby makes it easy to combine a visit here with dinner or street food browsing beforehand.

Visitor Reviews
I was looking for a classic jazz vibe featuring saxophone and double bass, and this place was the perfect fit. There's a night market nearby for food, and enjoying the music with cocktails, beer, and Thai-style Tom Yum pizza was really great. The two signature cocktails we tried were delicious. Overall, the performance was excellent. I was glad I managed to catch two sets. I recommend checking the performance schedule beforehand and arriving a bit early for the set you want to watch.
Good vibe 3 live bands per day . A bit too loud for inside , you can enjoy live bands outside as well .
A Hidden Gem in Chiang Mai’s Art Scene By a Frequent Visitor Who Loves Whiskey on the Rocks and Fresh Fruit Chiang Mai has long been a haven for artists, dreamers, and lovers of quiet beauty. Yet among its many creative spaces, few capture the soul of art and music quite like Moment's Notice Club. This place is not just a venue—it’s a living, breathing expression of passion. The owner of Moment Notice Club, in my opinion, is a truly remarkable person. He doesn’t simply run a club; he curates an experience. You can feel his deep love for music and art in every corner—the warm lights, the handpicked décor, and, above all, the quality of the performers he brings in. Every night, talented artists and bands take the stage, offering performances that could easily belong in major cities’ best jazz or art clubs. But passion alone can’t keep the lights on. As I sip my whiskey on the rocks and watch yet another breathtaking performance, I can’t help but worry about the sustainability of such a place. I believe Moment Notice Club should introduce at least a modest entrance fee—a minimum cover charge—to ensure its survival. A venue of this quality deserves more than applause; it deserves real, tangible support. Those who truly love music and art will understand this. Supporting a place like Moment Notice Club isn’t just about paying for entertainment—it’s about nurturing a rare and precious cultural space that elevates Chiang Mai’s artistic heartbeat. I sincerely hope this beautiful and inspiring club continues to thrive, bringing together those who appreciate the finer moments of sound, soul, and shared experience. May Moment Notice Club live on as a sanctuary for art, music, and all who believe in their enduring power.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
