Central Patong
Central Patong is a multi-level shopping centre situated steps from the famous Bangla Walking Street, making it one of the most conveniently located retail destinations in Phuket. The mall carries a strong selection of international and designer apparel and cosmetics brands, often at discounted prices, alongside a well-stocked grocery store in the basement level. Clean, modern, and reliably air-conditioned, it serves as a welcome retreat from the heat and noise of the surrounding Patong streets. Shoppers can expect a polished department store atmosphere with helpful staff and a broad product range spanning fashion, beauty, and everyday essentials. The basement food court is a particular draw, offering Thai street food staples including roast meats, roti banana, Thai iced milk tea, and local coffee at accessible prices. The layout is straightforward, with food on the lower level and retail floors above. Good to know: Central Patong opens daily at 10:30am and stays open until 11:00pm, making it a practical option for evening shopping after a day at the beach. Given its proximity to Bangla Road, the mall can get busier on weekend evenings, so weekday afternoon visits tend to be more relaxed. The basement grocery store is also useful for travellers staying in self-catering accommodation nearby.

Visitor Reviews
20251206 - mall near popular bangla walking street where you can enjoy air conditioning, do shopping and enjoy thai food in the food court. Ate roast meat, thai iced milk tea, thai coffee, roti banana with nutella, rice with basil chicken, omelette with rice and grilled chicken which all tasted good and afforable, though more expensive than bangkok price. Bought crocodile skin bag at very good discount in department store and received tote bags and vouchers.
A small departmental store with many many different luxury brands for affordable prices. A nice refuge from the heat as well! There’s even food stalls and a grocery store in the basement!
Great shop in a too spot location. Food is on minus 1 and shops above it. Fantastic product selection and nice staff.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
