Beyond night market
Tucked into Patong on the island of Phuket, this small but lively night market draws visitors with its range of street food stalls, friendly vendors, and casual open-air atmosphere. While it is more compact than some of Phuket's larger markets, regulars find it easy to navigate and worth returning to, with a rotating selection of Thai dishes available throughout the day and into the night. Food is the clear highlight here. Visitors have praised the noodle soup, oysters, Thai basil rice, chicken spring rolls, and fresh fruit platters, which some travellers picked up daily during longer stays. The stalls are run by welcoming vendors who contribute to the relaxed, neighbourhood feel of the place. Beyond food, the market also features other stalls and entertainment machines, though some visitors have flagged concerns about the grab machines not operating as expected. A practical note for visitors: a hygiene concern was raised by at least one reviewer regarding food handling at a kebab stall, so it is worth being selective about where you eat and observing preparation standards before ordering, as you would at any open-air market. The market is listed as open around the clock on Sundays, though activity is likely to be most lively during evening hours. It is a reasonable stop for a casual meal or snack, particularly for those already staying in or around Patong.

Visitor Reviews
Lots of variety in food and drink options! We had the chicken spring rolls at the stall close to the entrance (pictured) and they were incredible. Everyone working at the stalls are very friendly and all the food we had was great. This is a much calmer alternative to the bangla street market, but still has a fun vibe.
We were happy when we found this small food market and visited regularly during our stay - we bought the fruit platters and enjoyed them for lunch each day - we ate Thai basil rice and spring rolls and Tamarind prawns one night for dinner and had a kebab another day and it was the best ever - defs recommend a visit
I had the noodles soup and oysters. They were so good. Unfortunately we weren't very hungry otherwise we'd had so much more!! It was not very big markets compared to some others but definitely worth a visit even just for the oysters. They were large and fresh!!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
