Ngor Kah Kee
Tucked along the heritage streetscape of Thalang Road in Phuket Old Town, Ngor Kah Kee offers a relaxed open-air setting that feels very much in keeping with its historic surroundings. The venue blends casual dining with a bar atmosphere, drawing in visitors who stumble upon it mid-afternoon and end up staying well into the evening. The cocktail program is a genuine draw — drinks like espresso martinis and old fashioneds have earned consistent praise, and the bar staff bring a personable, attentive energy to the experience.
On the food side, visitors describe the menu as tasty and notably affordable by Phuket standards, with standout mentions going to dishes like the chicken wings. The open-air layout and old town setting give the place a laid-back charm that suits both a casual meal and a proper evening out. It sits comfortably between a neighbourhood bar and a dining spot, making it a flexible stop at different times of day.
Ngor Kah Kee is open daily from 10:00, with slightly extended hours on Sundays until 22:30. Those planning a leisurely evening should aim to arrive with time to settle in — at least one reviewer noted feeling hurried toward the end of a visit, so coming earlier in the session rather than close to closing is worth keeping in mind. Checking the Facebook page before visiting is advisable for any updates on hours or specials.

Reviews from Google
We were looking for somewhere for a cocktail and a street view and found this place. Beer is the bartender and his drinks were spot on. Espresso Martini and Old Fashioned were perfect. Beer is a great guy and taught us a few tricks on getting better photos from our phone. Ask him for photo tips and get yourself a great drink and a chat.
Was just supposed to pop in for a beer as we weren’t sure where to eat, but Beer (the bar tender) recommended this place — great call. He even surprised us with a cocktail! The chicken wings were 10/10, and the chicken with cashew nuts was slightly sweet but delicious. Great service from Beer. Would definitely recommend.
We loved chancing upon this place and the lovely margaritas after a long day of travelling. The bartender Beer is a great conversationalist. However, he rushed us to pay for a third round of drinks and then basically bid us goodbye… even though he had initially said we could take our time to finish our drinks. Worst bit, he said we couldn’t use the restroom at the night of the night. Not what we were hoping for at the end of a long day of travels and three rounds of drinks! :/

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
