Fun Friday avenue Night market
Running every Friday evening in the Choeng Thale area of Thalang District, this weekly night market draws locals and tourists alike with a broad mix of street food, clothing, souvenirs, arts, and crafts. The atmosphere is lively, with music adding to the buzz of vendors and browsing crowds, making it a sociable way to spend a Friday night in northern Phuket. Food is a clear highlight, with grilled meats, Isaan sausages, sticky rice, fresh fruit, and sweet snacks like Nutella strawberry pancakes all available at wallet-friendly prices — visitors report filling meals for well under 200 THB. The market also caters well to those seeking Halal options, with multiple dedicated stands among the stalls. Beyond food, shoppers can pick through local handicrafts, clothing, and gifts. It is worth noting that experiences can vary — some visitors find the market compact and a little chaotic compared to larger night markets in Thailand, so those expecting a sprawling, highly curated event may want to adjust expectations accordingly. The market opens at 16:00 and runs until 22:30, so arriving in the early evening allows time to browse before the crowds peak. As the venue is outdoors, lightweight, comfortable clothing is recommended, and bringing small change makes navigating food and craft stalls easier.

One of the best night markets I have seen so far. Good mix of food, clothes, souvenirs and other stuff. And with music.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
