Island Escape Burasari

3.9(1,230 reviews)

Situated on Coconut Island (Koh Kaew) off the coast of Phuket, Island Escape Burasari is a resort-hotel designed around rest and seclusion. The property is set within lush, peaceful surroundings and features modern rooms with pool access, a clean private beach, and well-maintained grounds that consistently impress guests seeking a genuine escape from busier tourist areas. The resort operates around the clock, making it well-suited to travellers arriving on varied schedules. Visitors describe the atmosphere as beautifully designed and genuinely relaxing, with standout features including stylish pool access rooms, a stunning beachfront, and attentive, friendly staff. The resort suits couples, families with children, and solo travellers alike, with multiple on-site dining options and a setting that encourages slow, unhurried days. Guests note that the resort lives up to its name, offering a quieter, more intimate experience compared to the busier resort zones elsewhere in Phuket. Good to know: Phuket's dry season runs from November to April, which offers the most reliable weather for beach activities and is generally the most popular time to visit. As the resort is located on a small island, it is worth confirming transfer and access arrangements directly with the property before arrival. Booking through the official website at isescape.com allows travellers to verify current rates, room types, and any included services.

Visitor Reviews

Stayed from 3 to 5 November 2025 Room type: Deluxe Pool Access Location: Island Escape by Burasari – Coconut Island We visited as part relaxation and part inspection trip since we run a travel agency, and honestly this resort exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived at the pier everything was perfectly organized. The boat transfer was smooth and easy. Once we reached the island, a buggy was waiting for us and the driver, Mr. Night, was extremely polite, friendly and professional. He even gave us an easy way to contact him anytime we needed to go to the restaurant or infinity pool. Within 5 minutes he was always at our door. Check-in was very smooth. They had sent us an email before arrival offering online check-in, so we completed it in advance. When we arrived, the process took less than 10 minutes and our luggage was already delivered to the villa. Very well organized. The Deluxe Pool Access villa was simply amazing. Two levels, direct access to the pool, strong air conditioning everywhere (6 AC units in total), large TV in the living room and another one in the bedroom. The lighting system and electric curtains were very impressive. Even the bathroom had an electric curtain that opens to a private backyard garden. The technology in the villa is on another level. Breakfast was truly 5-star quality. Wide variety, everything fresh. We also had lunch and dinner at the resort and the food was very good. Ordering is very easy through QR code, they call to confirm and deliver quickly. The infinity pool is beautiful with great views and nice drinks at the bar. There are restaurants and a lounge nearby outside the resort as well. The team was very responsive by email even before arrival. They answered all my questions about food menu and what is available on the island since it’s a secondary island. They were transparent and helpful. That level of communication is rare. One very honest note: One evening we left the balcony door open after swimming and two large flying insects entered (because of us leaving it open). We called room service and they came immediately with proper equipment and handled it professionally. The spray smell was a bit strong afterwards but they solved the issue. Also, a small gecko appeared inside the villa. This is very common in tropical areas and personally it didn’t bother me at all, but it might surprise some guests. I would recommend increasing preventive fumigation around villas before guest arrival, just to maintain the ultra-luxury standard they aim for. They also prepared a lovely “Happy Honeymoon” decoration for us which was a very sweet touch. Overall rating from me: 5/5 We will definitely recommend this resort to our clients and friends, and we would love to come back again.

We had a wonderful experience at Island Escape by Burasari, especially from a family with children’s perspective. The resort is very beautiful, peaceful, and well designed. The beach is stunning, clean, and perfect for relaxing with kids. Our pool villa was amazing – spacious, private, very comfortable, and truly 5-star quality. I would like to especially mention Ms. Tong, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She assisted us with everything we asked for, always with a smile and a positive attitude. Her support really made a difference during our stay. The staff at the beach was outstanding. Every day they played with our children, were friendly, patient, and extremely kind. Unfortunately, I don’t know their names, but they truly deserve recognition for their amazing attitude and care. We also noticed a very positive improvement in the service, especially at breakfast. The staff was organized, smiling, and attentive, and everything felt the way it should in a beautiful resort like this. As a small suggestion, it would be lovely if the hotel could consider offering breakfast on the beach, as the setting is absolutely beautiful and would be a fantastic experience. Overall, this resort is definitely worth visiting. From a family with children’s perspective, it is a great place to relax, enjoy nature, and feel well taken care of. We highly recommend it.

I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews this resort has been getting, because our experience has been absolutely fantastic. The room with pool access is very modern, beautifully designed, spacious and having direct pool access with our own little patio was amazing. The shower is massive, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and overall the room felt luxurious and relaxing, with great aircon. The staff here are another highlight. Every single person we’ve interacted with has been super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. You really feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The food has also been great. There’s a big variety available, especially at breakfast. The buffet is huge and offers something for everyone. Room service is also very affordable, which was a pleasant surprise. What truly makes this place special, though, is the setting. The resort is completely surrounded by beautiful nature and greenery, creating such a lovely atmosphere. It really feels like a little paradise and makes the whole experience even more memorable. We’re genuinely sad that today is our last day here. We’ve had such an amazing stay and would highly recommend this resort to anyone considering it. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off, this place is absolutely worth booking.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
