About Barceló Coconut Island
Barceló Coconut Island sits on Koh Maphrao, the small island off Phuket's east coast, and is the closest thing in Thailand to an island all-inclusive. Its plan covers breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Kucina and Kabang restaurants and unlimited house drinks at those two and the Naga Lounge from 11:00 to 23:00, including house wine, gin, vodka, rum, whiskey, selected beers and house cocktails. After 23:00, drinks outside the plan are half price.
The island setting is the draw. Guests check in at the resort's lounge at Laem Hin pier, about 50 minutes from Phuket airport, and the free boat runs hourly and takes about seven minutes, with a water taxi at other times. Kayaks, paddleboards, sailing, tennis and bikes are included, and there are four pools across the property plus pool villas.
