Friends Station Hostel

4.5(143 reviews)

Friends Station Hostel sits on Kasetsin 9 Road in Muang Pattaya, offering one of the more affordable lodging options in this busy coastal city. The property stands out among budget accommodation for its attention to cleanliness and comfort, with guests consistently noting quality mattresses, proper bedding, device charging outlets, and well-maintained bathrooms. The building has a distinctive European loft aesthetic, and a communal social area downstairs makes it easy for solo travellers and small groups to connect with fellow guests.

The hostel occupies a quieter pocket of Pattaya, which suits travellers looking to rest without party noise, while remaining well-positioned for exploring the wider city. A 7-Eleven is located approximately 100 metres away for everyday convenience. Beyond accommodation, the property also functions as a cafe and coffee space, adding a relaxed hangout option on site. The setting leans casual and social, making it a practical base for budget travellers rather than those seeking a private or resort-style experience.

The bed’s are splendid. Proper mattress, high quality bedding, and oulet to get a charge on your devices. Bathrooms are clean and neat. Located in a quiet area of town, so no party noise. A Good sized locker for your valuables are included. 10/10 would book again when in Pattaya.

This is one of the cheapest hostels in Pattaya, it was clean, beds and bathrooms, 4 dorm had a small balcony. There's a nice social area down stairs, building looks a bit like an European loft. You can buy coffee and breakfast on site. Owner was leaving hostel in the late afternoon, therefore if the guests were checking in late in the evening or night they were quite surprised there was nobody at the reception. There's a nice beach approximately 400m from the hostel. Owner was very nice and helpful, despite the fact the door were not locked in the evening, place was safe, nothing bad ever happened there during my stay. For this price I'd come back there again.

The management is completely nonexistent; there was no staff on site throughout our entire stay, except for the moment we were checking out, when someone suddenly appeared just to collect our money. When we mentioned how our stay was all the owner could say was “I will be having words”. The environment felt unsafe and unsanitary. There was a drunk man passed out directly outside the entrance who had vomited all over himself, while his group of friends just sat there watching. At 21 I think we were the youngest by far of all the people staying there. If I was a female solo traveller I wouldn’t feel safe even entering this building. We arrived and there was nobody there. No lights on the place looked closed. There are no locks on the internal doors or outside doors so anyone could wonder in. No lockers for bags either.
