Royal Cliff Grand Hotel Pattaya
Compare prices
Perched on the cliffs of Phra Tamnak Hill, Royal Cliff Grand Hotel Pattaya occupies one of the most enviable positions on the eastern Gulf coast, offering sweeping panoramic views of the sea from its guest rooms, pools, and common areas. The hotel operates as part of the broader Royal Cliff resort complex, giving guests access to a private beach, an expansive infinity pool, and a spa — making it particularly well suited to travellers seeking a quieter, more refined alternative to central Pattaya's busier shoreline. Guest rooms are consistently described as spacious, well-appointed, and clean, with ocean-facing rooms delivering standout views that guests frequently highlight as a trip centrepiece. The atmosphere leans toward the adult end of the spectrum — calm and relaxing rather than lively — though families are accommodated. Staff receive frequent praise for friendliness and attentiveness, contributing to the hotel's strong overall reputation. As with many large resort properties, experiences can vary between stays, so it is worth requesting a sea-view room at the time of booking rather than leaving it to chance on arrival. The hotel is located a short drive from central Pattaya, making it easy to explore the city while retreating to a quieter setting. Guests planning to use the beach club facilities or pools should confirm access arrangements when booking, as the resort encompasses multiple properties with shared amenities.

Visitor Reviews
We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and overlooked the ocean—waking up to that view every day was a highlight of the trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. From the front desk to the doormen and security team, everyone made us feel genuinely cared for. We even had some fun banter with the doormen and security, which added a really personal touch to the experience. The buffet selection was excellent with plenty of variety, and the dining options across the property were fantastic. There are also so many lovely spots to sit and work or relax, all with gorgeous views—it’s a great place if you’re mixing travel with a bit of work or quiet time. We stayed for 10 days and appreciated that guests can use the amenities across both Royal Cliff properties. We spent a lot of time at the pool at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, which was perfect for lounging and soaking up the atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful stay from start to finish. We’d happily return and highly recommend it.
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were all very nice and friendly. The overall atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean, well-equipped with everything we needed. The sea view from the room was beautiful too. The facilities are well-organised, especially the pool with a stunning sea view. The only minor thing is that parking near the entrance is quite limited, so you may need to park a little farther away, but the hotel provides a convenient golf cart service to take guests to the lobby, so it’s not really a problem. Overall, it’s a fantastic 5-star experience staying here
Hotel is luxurious, stunning views, typical nice hotel rooms, more adult leaning than the beach club though you have access to their facilities too. Private beach, and for me the massive - truly massive pools and manicured gardens and cabanas were the highlight. I loved the pools. They have so many. And twice the size of Olympic pools. Rooms are great. Though I upgraded to ocean pearl and they show the open deep bathtub with rose petals in it. But the hotel didn't have any bath salts or bubble bath or anything. The best they could offer was extra shower gel?!?! That's why they don't get a 5 on that.
