The ferry beats the speedboat unless you're short of time. For ฿30 you get a 45-minute crossing to Koh Larn, either straight onto Tawaen Beach or into Na Baan village, depending on which boat you board. Shared speedboats cost about ฿150–200 a seat and take 15 to 20 minutes, which is worth it on a choppy day or a tight schedule.
This is the main departure point on Pattaya's southern seafront, and it works like a proper working harbor. Ticket counters are clearly marked, staff will point you the right way if you look lost, and boats run often enough that you're rarely stuck waiting long. It gets crowded at peak times and around holidays, and there's a fair bit of noise and shuffling about. That's just how it goes. The sea view while you wait in line takes the edge off. Yachts and charters to other islands can be arranged here too, with prices varying by destination.
