Compare prices
Nestled in the Viengtai area of Pai, Montis Resort offers a distinctive safari-inspired aesthetic across its rooms, suites, and villas. The property strikes a balance between peaceful seclusion and convenient access to Pai Walking Street, sitting close enough to enjoy the town's atmosphere while remaining removed from its noise. Standout features include generously sized rooms praised by guests for their large showers, excellent water pressure, and comfortable beds, along with an outdoor pool and on-site restaurant to round out the stay. Daily housekeeping with fresh robes, towels, and bedding is standard, and the resort provides ample parking — a practical advantage for travellers arriving by scooter or car, which is common in Pai. The safari villa option is a popular choice, though guests note it can feel slightly dated in places, and booking during a promotional period is worth considering to get good value. For breakfast, the on-site Thai options receive better feedback than the western alternatives, so adventurous eaters will find more to enjoy. The resort suits travellers who want a comfortable, characterful base for exploring Pai's surrounding valleys, hot springs, and viewpoints, rather than those seeking a sleek, modern property. Checking the resort's own website at montisresort.com for direct booking rates is a sensible first step before reserving.

Visitor Reviews
Firstly, the rooms are huge! The shower was so big, you could fit 20 people (if that's your thing). Rooms were serviced daily, with fresh bathrobes, towels and bedding if you wished. Could not fault the staff who all did everything to please and we're all so lovely. We used WhatsApp to communicate and they were very responsive. The hotel is a couple of km from the town and they have a complimentary mini bus on the hour and then every half hour in the evening. This service was excellent as it's hard to park a car in the town (ok motorcycle). Breakfast was quite good and they cooked fresh omelettes as well as a buffet with fruits etc. Coffee was good (IMO) and their is fresh juices and teas. The property is little neglected in some places and we suspect a victim of COVID pandemic and slowly recovering (?) For example, we used the gym everyday, which while small it was functional for us, however the building was in a poor state, just needs a bit of money spending and a big cleanup, nothing too much. We got a good deal on Agoda 67% discount.... Happy with the price we paid.
This hotel is well located for those who drive, offering plenty of parking and easy access to Pai Walking Street. It is far enough from the noise to remain peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy the convenience. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to the night market. We slept very well thanks to the quiet surroundings. Although the resort has been operating for about 16 years, it still has its own charm in our opinion. The price is reasonable and includes a fairly wide selection of breakfast items (except that the pineapple was underripe). The room was spacious, and we would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Pai.
This place was amazing. Our room was huge and gorgeous, giant shower with super hot water and great water pressure, huge windows with natural light and the bed was so comfortable. The staff were also great, amazing service at the front desk and restaurant. They also serviced the rooms daily which was nice and the people cleaning the rooms did a really good job. The breakfast was really good and included as well. We used the gym a few times which was nice to have as well. We didn’t want to leave! Definitely would recommend this place and was 100% worth the cost, which was very reasonable. Really good value.
