Oasis Pai Resort

4.7(37 reviews)

Tucked away in the Mae Hong Son highlands, Oasis Pai Resort is a small, intimate bungalow property that draws travellers looking for a quiet retreat from Pai's busier centre. Individual bungalows open onto a private porch overlooking a tranquil pond, and the resort's setting delivers the kind of stillness that can be hard to find in town. Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, with well-made beds, fresh towels, and a complimentary coffee and tea station available to all guests. What consistently sets Oasis Pai Resort apart is the personal attention of its owners and staff. Visitors frequently note that the hosts go well beyond standard hospitality — from personally arranging alternative accommodation when the resort is full, to offering late-night pick-ups for guests returning from town. That hands-on, generous approach gives the property a genuine guesthouse feel despite its resort designation. Oasis Pai Resort is open daily from 08:00 to 20:00. Given its small size and strong reputation among repeat visitors, booking ahead is strongly recommended, particularly during Pai's peak season between November and February when rooms fill quickly. Guests without their own transport should note the property's rural location and discuss transfer options with the hosts at the time of booking.

Small intimate bungalow with a nice porch to a small pond behind the place. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and big, clean towels and water bottles, and free coffee and tea station for the guests. The owners where very nice and helpful, and even took a ride to help me find another guest house when i couldn't find available rooms around. Was very pleased, and would recommend :)

Connor really gave us a warm welcome and a great place to stay in Pai. He has cool stories and is willing to bring you back at night on his sidespan if you are drunk or scared of dogs. The location is not far from the center at all, but it is still very peaceful and has a nice atmosphere. The bungalows are very comfy and have everything you need! I highly recommend this place!

Su and Nick were so helpful when I just rocked up and they were full, Su rang a hotel and Nick took me, how kind to a total stranger. I stayed the following 3 nights and it was so peaceful and quiet. All the best to you both and to Alex your lovely son. Ron Davis.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
