Compare prices
Set along Sanambin Road in Chiang Rai, Laluna Hotel and Resort offers a calm, resort-style retreat surrounded by well-maintained tropical gardens. The property features polished bungalows, an outdoor swimming pool, an on-site restaurant, and a bar, making it a self-contained base for exploring northern Thailand. The elegant lobby sets a refined tone, and the attentive, professional staff are frequently highlighted by guests as a genuine strength of the stay. Rooms are spacious with modern bathrooms, good water pressure, and clean, well-kept interiors. The overall atmosphere leans toward quiet relaxation rather than a lively hotel scene, which suits travellers looking to unwind between day trips to nearby attractions such as the White Temple or Golden Triangle. Some areas of the property show their age, though the grounds are clearly well cared for and the gardens remain a standout feature. Travellers should be aware that mosquitoes in and around the rooms have been noted by multiple guests, so packing insect repellent is advisable, particularly during the wetter months. The hotel tends to be quiet and unhurried, making it a better fit for couples or independent travellers seeking a relaxed pace than for those wanting a buzzy, amenity-heavy resort experience. Checking the hotel's official website for current room types and rates before booking is recommended.

Visitor Reviews
When I arrived at the hotel, I was completely amazed. The lobby is stunning, with an elegant, luxurious atmosphere, and the service is extremely professional, attentive, and always willing to help. The path to the rooms is surrounded by beautiful gardens, palm trees, and lush vegetation, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment from the very first moment. The pool is spacious and well-maintained, perfect for cooling off and enjoying the views after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are large, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering everything you need for a pleasant stay. The breakfast is very varied, with both local and international options, perfect for starting the day energized. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from the center of Chiang Rai, making it easy to explore temples, markets, and restaurants. Without a doubt, this has been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, combining comfort, understated luxury, and impeccable service. I will definitely return.
Laluna Hotel and Resort in Chiang Rai is a nice choice if you want a relaxing, resort style stay with lots of greenery around you. The property feels quite old in some parts, but you can tell it has been renovated, and overall it is well kept. The gardens are lush and the whole place has that tropical, quiet vibe, especially around the pool. The rooms were a pleasant surprise. Inside, they look updated, clean, and comfortable. The only real downside is the lighting. Because the buildings are surrounded by so much vegetation, the rooms can feel quite dark even during the day. If you like bright natural light in the morning, that is something to keep in mind. Breakfast was okay but nothing memorable. It was more of a basic hotel breakfast, and it did not feel special compared to the rest of the property. Location wise, it is convenient. You can walk to the night market in about 25 minutes, so you are close enough to the action while still staying somewhere quiet and peaceful. Overall, a solid stay for the price, especially if you care more about a calm atmosphere and a nice pool than having a fancy breakfast.
Beautiful and well-maintained garden area (unfortunately with quite a few mosquitoes). The rooms are spacious but rather dark, the bathroom is modern and large with good water pressure. Since we did not use housekeeping, we still received fresh towels and coffee/tea at the door every day. The pool looks nice, but was quite cold. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the 500 baht deposit was returned without any issues. The Walking Street is within walking distance. Questions were handled quickly, especially at reception. However, during breakfast and around the property we missed a bit of the typical Thai warmth and smile. Breakfast was okay but the same every day. Overall, everything was fine, but it lacked a certain something.
