What you're really buying here is position. Ao Nang is where most Krabi trips start and end, and this place sits right in it, close enough to the beach road that you can walk out and be on a longtail to the islands within the hour. The tour side of things is the draw for a lot of guests, with island-hopping, snorkeling, trips out to the beaches and cliffs, all arranged at the desk rather than hunted down along the strip. If you like having someone sort your itinerary while you drink coffee, that suits.

It's a mid-range resort rather than anything luxurious, and I'd set expectations accordingly. Ao Nang itself is busy and unashamedly touristy, so if you want quiet nights and empty sand, you're in the wrong town. If you want easy access to Railay, Hong Island and the karst scenery without a long transfer, you're in the right one.
