Good Times Resort
Good Times Resort sits on Maenamkwai Road in the heart of Kanchanaburi, placing guests within easy reach of the River Kwai Bridge, WWII memorials, and the natural attractions of the surrounding region, including waterfalls, caves, and national parks. The property stands out for its well-maintained gardens, ornamental water features, and two swimming pools — one of which is large enough for lap swimming — all contributing to a relaxed and visually appealing setting. Guests can expect comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with firm beds, a well-regarded on-site restaurant serving breakfast and meals throughout the day, and cocktails at notable value. The resort is particularly praised for its attentive, courteous staff across all departments, from reception and housekeeping to kitchen and grounds. The garden and pond areas create a tranquil atmosphere that suits travellers looking to unwind between sightseeing excursions. Sunset views from the property are a recurring highlight among visitors. Kanchanaburi is most comfortable to visit during the cool season, running from November through February, when temperatures are moderate and rainfall is low. This is also the busiest period for tourism in the region, so booking accommodation in advance is advisable. The resort's location on Maenamkwai Road keeps key historical and natural attractions easily accessible without the need for lengthy travel.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing facilities, beautiful views (especially at sunset), attention to detail with the ornaments and water features, 2 swimming pools and a delicious breakfast. But the main attraction for me was the super friendly and caring staff. At some of these resorts, the interactions can sometimes feel artificial but not here- genuinely nice people who are more than happy to help others. All staff - receptionists, gardeners, cleaners, catering staff, drivers and tour operators should be applauded and admired. Special mention to Taw / Tho (sorry for spelling :)) young man with a big heart and a warm personality. Miss all you guys already Khob koon mak krub 🙏
We recently had 3 nights here and very much enjoyed our stay. We've never seen so many staff in evidence as we did here - reception staff, cleaning staff, maintenance staff, garden staff, kitchen staff. All the staff were friendly and had a ready smile. We loved the pool area. Good options at breakfast. The resort is nicely tucked away in a residential area, and is in a good location for visiting places of interest in the Kanchanaburi area.
Really lovely hotel with great staff. The gardens and pond area are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Cocktails are great value and taste really good, the food is also quite reasonable. The soundproofing in the rooms isn't great, we were exhausted after a day of activities but if you've just come to lay by the pool and relax you may find it a bit noisy at night if you don't have quiet neighbours
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
