PeaceSpaceCafe&Bar
Situated along the well-travelled Maenamkwai Road in Kanchanaburi, PeaceSpaceCafe&Bar operates as both a café and a full-service bar and restaurant, conveniently attached to The Bridge Residence hotel. The setting offers a choice between outdoor riverside-adjacent seating, which visitors describe as ideal for relaxed socialising, and an interior dining space. Despite a menu that some guests find visually cluttered at first glance, the food consistently draws strong praise — standout dishes include aromatic crispy duck, and the kitchen handles Western comfort food such as beef burgers and fries with equal confidence. Mocktails and cocktails round out the drinks list, and the bar staff, noted by name in guest reviews for being both personable and professional, add to the welcoming atmosphere. The café is open every day of the week from 11:00 to 23:00, making it a flexible option for a late lunch, a long dinner, or evening drinks after a day of sightseeing around the Bridge on the River Kwai. A five-course breakfast offering is also available, making it worth considering for a more leisurely morning meal. Hotel guests and outside visitors alike can make use of the on-site parking, which is a practical advantage given the busy nature of this road. Those travelling with mixed preferences for Thai and Western food will find the broad menu useful for satisfying everyone at the table.

Visitor Reviews
Don't be put off by the messy jumbled menu. I was! And thought it might be bad, because the menu is so badly laid out. The food was incredible!! 🤤😀 We've been on a week long road trip around Thailand and this was the best tasting food we've had! I can't rate it highly enough. They just need someone to fix the menu writing 😂😂. A+++++++++
Came here tonight as felt like a break from Thai for a night. Got a beef burger with fries. Fries were yummy as was Burger which was tasty. The berry mocktail was so good. Staff lovely. Restaurant is nice also.
Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere. And the bartender Ben is just amazing! She's the right mix of fun and professional.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
