Compare prices
Rommai Villa is a boutique lodging property set near Rajabhat University in the Ban Du area of Chiang Rai, offering guests a tranquil retreat with a distinctly traditional Thai aesthetic. The property is well regarded for its beautifully maintained gardens, which give the villa an almost fairytale-like quality, and its comfortable, thoughtfully appointed rooms. Guests consistently highlight the warm, personal touch of the owners, who go out of their way to make visitors feel at home from the moment they arrive. Stays here come with a number of appealing touches, including homemade Thai breakfasts each morning and attentive service that extends to practical arrangements such as airport pickups. The atmosphere leans toward relaxation and rejuvenation, making it a strong choice for travellers looking to slow down and experience northern Thailand at a gentle pace rather than a hectic one. On the practical side, the villa's location is best suited to guests who have their own vehicle or are comfortable arranging transport, as it sits outside the central city area and may feel somewhat isolated without independent means of getting around. Visitors planning to explore Chiang Rai's temples, markets, and surrounding hill country will find the property a peaceful base to return to. Checking the villa's website at rommaivilla.com directly is recommended for availability and booking, as this is a small, intimate property where rooms may fill quickly during peak travel seasons.

Visitor Reviews
Spent an amazing two nights here and felt completely relaxed. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My stay started with an airport pickup and a quick stop at 7-Eleven, which was such a nice touch. My room was even better than I remembered from booking—very comfortable, clean, and I slept great. Although the location isn’t in the city center, I had no trouble getting Grab rides to explore. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and on my last morning I used one of the bikes to ride around the lake. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
I wanted to stay somewhere traditional for my bday and Rommai provided the perfect experience. The property is absolutely gorgeous and every morning we had a delicious homemade Thai breakfast. The hosts were absolutely lovely and helpful which made this trip incredible. I highly recommend it to anyone considering staying here.
What an amazing resort to recover themselves and discover this great area of Norththailand. The service owners are so friendly. The resort gives all what you need to feel like in a paradise. Thank you so much! I guess we will come again.
