Compare prices
Shangri-La Chiang Mai is a refined, full-service hotel positioned on Changklan Road, placing guests within easy walking distance of the famous Night Bazaar and the broader Chiang Mai city centre. The property offers spacious, well-appointed rooms and suites, and the hotel's attention to special occasions — such as complimentary birthday gestures noted by guests — reflects a culture of personalised service throughout the stay. On-site facilities include a swimming pool with poolside dining, a spa, and a Szechuan restaurant, giving guests a strong range of options without needing to leave the property. Poolside food receives positive marks from visitors, and the check-in experience is frequently highlighted, with staff noted for going above and beyond to accommodate guests, including room upgrades and thoughtfully decorated rooms for families travelling with children. Security on the property is thorough, with vehicle and bag screening at entry. For practical planning, the hotel operates around the clock and is well suited to families, couples celebrating milestones, and travellers who want a comfortable base with convenient access to Chiang Mai's key attractions. Given the hotel's popularity, booking in advance is advisable, particularly during the peak cool-season months of November through February when the city sees its highest visitor numbers.

Visitor Reviews
I booked two rooms for my family from December 20–24 and had a wonderful stay. The security was excellent, vehicles were checked upon entry, and all bags were screened before entering the property, which made me feel very safe. Check-in was smooth and welcoming. The staff were professional and thoughtful, offering us tea upon arrival and even giving my daughters two elephant keychains, which was a lovely touch. The family room was very spacious and well worth the price, with two beds already set up and a great view. The second room was also comfortable and well maintained. Service throughout our stay was outstanding. Our housekeeper, Sally, went above and beyond by creating adorable elephant and dog towel designs each morning. Her attention to detail truly made our stay special. The bar also had great drinks with great staff members like Doy and Kinsley. The hotel’s location was very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from two 7-Eleven stores, Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, and Anusarn Market. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely book this hotel again.
Stayed here for 7 nights in Feb 2026. The hotel is great. We were celebrating a 40th Birthday, and the hotel provided a complimentary small cake. It was a great gesture. The hotel overall is great and in a great location, walking distance to the daily Night Bazaar. The service at the hotel is exceptional, from a great breakfast to the kids' club and pool area. The only downside was that the pool was ice cold. It would be great to have the pool heated a bit, as it was just too cold to swim or even relax in. As there were 4 of us in 1 room (2 kids aged 5 and 3), they provided an extra bed, which was great to accommodate us all. The staff was great and very friendly. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the kids club as they had daily activities which were complimentary. You just had to book your kids in for the activities in advance. This actually gave us a chance to relax without the kids for the duration of the activities. Overall, a great hotel and location, and will definitely stay here and highly recommend it especially if you have young children.
The hotel is located in a great location, near the night market. Rooms were comfortable, spacious and well-decorated. Bed was a little soft for me, but that's personal preference. The room had some complimentary snacks, and also bottled water. There was a pool, but the water was a bit cold for me, since it was Feb. They do have a health spa which hotel guests can use. The health spa has a jacuzzi and a sauna and the male and female toilets/changing room areas. Staff were very friendly. Sometimes a little slow to respond to requests, but overall, they got things done. Enjoyed my stay.
