Psych Hostel
Psych Hostel is a contemporary pod-style hostel located on Taeparak Road in the Chang Phueak area of Chiang Mai, offering travellers a clean, well-designed base from which to explore the city. The hostel stands out for its near-obsessive attention to cleanliness — facilities are cleaned multiple times daily, with bathrooms that consistently draw praise for exceeding typical hostel standards. Each sleeping pod is designed to feel like a private mini room, complete with thoughtful touches and amenities including a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, fridge, and shower access. Beyond the physical space, Psych Hostel earns strong word-of-mouth for its staff, who are consistently described by guests as friendly, informative, and willing to go the extra mile. The hostel accommodates flexible arrival situations, offering a self-check-in process via WhatsApp that makes late arrivals straightforward and stress-free. Good to know: Psych Hostel operates without published opening hours on its listing, so travellers are advised to contact the hostel directly via their Facebook page or WhatsApp before arrival to confirm arrangements, particularly for late check-ins. Given the small scale of the property and its strong reputation, booking well in advance is recommended, especially during Chiang Mai's peak tourist season between November and February.

Visitor Reviews
Had a great stay at Psych Hostel in Chiang Mai. The owner/staff were super friendly and informative, and genuinely went the extra mile — especially helping me with parcels that were delivered while I was staying there, which I really appreciated. The place was clean and well looked after. Beds were changed regularly, clean towels were provided as needed, and there’s a laundromat straight over the road. The location is ideal — not too far from the centre of Chiang Mai, with plenty of nice places nearby to eat or grab a coffee. The atmosphere was really chilled and relaxed, and the pods were comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Definitely good value for money and I’d happily stay here aga
Worth every baht! The place is super nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Very well organized and beautiful styled. All the facilities were in good condition; hair dryer, soap, shampoo, water, fridge, shower cap, towels. Big bathroom, 2 big lockers per person. The pod was bigger than I thought and super cool! But no sockets, only usb. I only have a plug and type c so had to charge outside the pod. Free breakfast, the staff were super nice and helpful. Definitely recommended!
I really enjoyed my stay at Psych Hostel. The place feels brand new and is cleaned several times a day, which really shows. Especially in the bathrooms, which are well above average for a hostel. The lobby has a great vibe, with chill music always playing and a design that makes it easy to relax or hang out. On top of that, the owner is genuinely friendly and welcoming, which adds a personal touch you don’t always get. I’d definitely recommend staying here!
