Samasati Yoga House Chiang Mai
Tucked away on a quiet soi off Superhighway in the Chang Phueak area of Chiang Mai, Samasati Yoga House is a small, carefully curated yoga studio known for its intimate setting and the quality of its teaching. The studio runs daily yoga classes alongside sound healing sessions and specialist workshops, making it a well-rounded destination for anyone looking to deepen their practice or simply find a calm space during their time in the city. What sets Samasati apart is its deliberately small class sizes, which allow teachers to offer personalised attention and hands-on guidance to each student. Visitors consistently highlight the encouraging and supportive atmosphere, with teachers offering modifications and assistance regardless of experience level. The studio itself is described as aesthetically beautiful and cosy, with a welcoming, home-like quality that feels distinctly different from larger, more commercial fitness centres. The combination yoga and sound bath classes are a particular draw for those wanting something beyond a standard session. Samasati suits both beginners and more experienced practitioners. Those new to yoga will benefit from the individual attention, while more advanced students can work toward skills like inversions with proper support. As a boutique studio, class spots are limited, so reaching out in advance to check the schedule and reserve a place is advisable. The studio does not currently have a public website listed, so contact is best made directly.

Visitor Reviews
I found Samasati in my search for an intimate and aesthetically beautiful space along with strong teachers - and it did not disappoint! Small classes and lots of 1:1 attention from the teachers. Vinyasa is incredible - you’ll be sweating which is what I want! The sound healing is so relaxing - so much so, I fell asleep! 😅 Thank you for having me in your classes. Looking forward to doing more classes!
Great studio with a lovely owner. I did a few classes here and all the teachers were excellent, providing variations and support when needed. Particularly liked the combination yoga and sound bath classes. You can book ahead through Instagram
My favorite yoga studio in Chiang Mai! They offer daily yoga with the kindness and most encouraging teachers, sound healing events, and fun workshops. Always a lovely and fun time when I’m at Samasati House 💌

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
