Green Lung Pool Villas
Tucked away in the green fringes of the greater Bangkok area, Green Lung Pool Villas offers a rare combination of natural seclusion and urban accessibility. The property sits across the river from the city, providing guests with lush, sunny surroundings and a genuine sense of escape without the need for a long journey. The family owners live on-site, and their hands-on, warm approach to hospitality is a defining feature of the experience. The villas themselves are modern, clean, and well-equipped, with private pools, fully fitted kitchens, and comfortable interiors that suit both short breaks and longer stays. Guests have noted the abundance of wildlife in the surroundings, adding a natural dimension to the retreat. The setting is quiet and unhurried, making it particularly well-suited to those seeking a low-key getaway rather than a resort-style complex. Good to know: Green Lung Pool Villas is a small, intimate property run by its owners, so early booking is advisable, especially around public holidays and the festive season when demand is high. Visitors can also use the villas as a base for exploring nearby local attractions. Check the official website at glpvillas.com for availability and current rates, as pricing information is not listed publicly.

Visitor Reviews
One of the most convenient and relaxing mini getaways from the bustling city just over the river! Have been coming here for years. The family owners live next door and are down-to-earth good people. They have two villas for rent, a 2-bedroom and a 3-bedroom. Both have mini kitchens and large refrigerators. Mini bar is full of delicious craft spirits and there are cold local beers in the fridge. (Everything very fairly priced.) ☺️The 3-bedroom villa has a 1/2 bath attached to the kitchen/common area and the bedroom upstairs has a gorgeous view. Both villas have cozy seating areas each overlooking a beautifully appointed garden-rimmed private pool. There are a couple bicycles to use for free to check out the "Bangkok Lung". Note: to those not familiar with Bangkok, there's only one small bridge onto and off the island. By car, it takes about an hour (depending on traffic) to get into the city. If you take one of the many ferries, you can cross in under 30. But why would you want to leave! Bangkrachao is such a unique and interesting island with lots to explore. You feel like you are several hundred kilometers away from the city. There are some great Thai restaurants that the owners will happily recommend. My friends and I are already looking forward to our next mini getaway after the new year! Book now or I might just take that reservation first! 😁
A delightful escape, conveniently located less than an hour away from Bangkok city centre, offering sunny green views. The villa is modern, exceptionally clean and homely with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The owner was extremely welcoming and Knowledgable about the area, offering great recommendations for local activities and places to eat. He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure we had a brilliant stay. The sun beds are exceptionally good, air conditioning throughout with adjustable lighting and stylish furniture, with large outdoor dining area. Running hot water and powerful showers in each bathroom and a very refreshing pool! We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends. 😊
Tranquility and hospitality in a beautiful place so near to the big city is hard to find. We stayed over the festive period and we had an excellent time. The villas are very clean, modern and comfortable with everything you need. There are some great places to eat in close proximity but the Pom/Dave also provide a menu which is Aroi Mak! Dave/Pom were very accommodating, outstanding hosts and really nice people which makes the difference. We will definitely be back, we actually wanted to book before we left Thailand but couldn’t fit it in. We would highly recommend. 5 stars all round.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
