AriyasomVilla
Tucked away at the end of Soi Sukhumvit 1, AriyasomVilla occupies a beautifully preserved heritage building surrounded by lush tropical gardens, making it one of Bangkok's more distinctive lodging options. The property operates as a boutique hotel with a strong sense of place — the old house architecture, verdant grounds, and swimming pool create what many guests describe as a hidden oasis, a genuine contrast to the glass-and-steel towers that dominate the surrounding neighbourhood. Guests can expect an intimate, unhurried atmosphere with attentive, personalised service that regularly draws praise in visitor feedback. The ground-level layout and garden setting make it particularly well suited to travellers who prefer a low-rise, grounded environment rather than high-rise hotel towers. The location strikes a practical balance: the soi is quiet and private, yet the BTS Skytrain network and the restaurants, shopping, and amenities of central Sukhumvit are all within easy walking distance. Good to know: AriyasomVilla suits travellers who value character and calm over convention, but those expecting the full facilities of a large five-star property may want to check room and amenity details before booking. Demand is strongest between November and February during Bangkok's cooler dry season, so booking ahead is advisable for this period. Direct booking or reputable hotel platforms are recommended to confirm room type and availability.

Visitor Reviews
My husband and I had a wonderful four-day stay at Ariyasom villa to kick off our Thailand honeymoon. We chose it for its unique feel of a hidden oasis tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, and that’s exactly what it felt like. We were amazed by how quiet and peaceful the hotel was, as if the trees above really can cut out the noise of the busy city surrounding it. The grounds are lovely and lush, with lots of birds singing. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, with lovely views of the gardens and pool. The pool is super refreshing, and made for a great place to cool off and relax midday. The free breakfasts were yummy, and we especially appreciated the fresh fruit juice and strong, delicious coffee. The hotel’s location is very convenient for public transport, with the SkyTrain a short walk away (Phloen Chit station being closest). The hotel is right on a canal, which has a boat taxi, which is super cheap and fun to take! It isn’t a touristy mode of transport, so it might be helpful to ask the hotel staff for advice. We had a local friend taking us around who introduced us to the boat, but once we got the hang of it, it became our favorite mode of transportation. Finally, the hotel staff and owners are extremely friendly, always making you feel welcome and helping with anything you need. We will absolutely stay at AriyaSom Villa again when we return to Bangkok. Thank you for a fantastic experience! :)
My wife suffers from acrophobia. We therefore deliberately choose this hotel (rather than any of the 5 star hotels with Infinity pool) and got a ground level room. Therefore, the setting was perfect for us. • Room: sufficient size for a 4 star hotel, relatively large bathroom, all very clean, no bugs inside, small terrace, some mosquitoes outside (terrace and pool area), hotel provides repellent FOC. • Service: friendly and competent service, helpful, organized within a few hours a private tour (limo, private guide) through Bangkok for us. • Garden & pool area: perfect to relax after a Bangkok tour. • Bar: open until midnight • Restaurant: we had lunch, Curry served was very good. • Location / site: next to hospital, however no respective noise. Going to / from the hotel by taxi can take quite some minutes due to the street being narrow and running through the hospital complex. • All in all: an unspectacular and relaxed small hotel which was due to my wife’s acrophobia ideal for us.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel! It has an old-timey charm with lush vegetation, a beautiful pool, and wonderful service/staff! It is at the end of a street with good privacy, but also walking distance to the Nana Nua pier so very easy to catch a ferry to where we wanted to go. It is walking distance to some fun bars like Havana Club. I absolutely loved the lotion and scented spray available in our room, and the robes and slippers were a nice addition. Our stay included several amenities like complimentary bottled water, fruit, coffee/tea, toiletries in our room and a full breakfast each morning. The food was delicious! We had breakfast here two mornings. The jam is homemade by the owner. The blue cheese that comes on the cheese board is SO good if you are a blue cheese fan. And probably the best miso soup I’ve ever had. We wish we had tried dinner here as well. I would highly recommend staying here! Thank you so much for the hospitality!
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
