Phi Phi Viewpoint 2

Stopping at Phi Phi Viewpoint 2 was an absolute highlight of my island adventure! This location is much more than just a place to catch your breath; it's a wonderfully situated cafe and resting spot right in the middle of the challenging trek. I found it perfectly positioned while making the ascent up to Viewpoint 1—or perhaps continuing on to the higher sections of the trail, depending on your route. The main draw, of course, is the unbelievable panoramic ocean view, which is truly breathtaking. You can see the entire double bay, with the turquoise water stretching out to the horizon. But what elevates this stop from mandatory to magnificent is the incredible variety of food and drink on offer. Seriously, for a place perched high up on a tropical island, the menu variety is exceptional. We enjoyed finding a full array of delicious, authentic Thai dishes, alongside simpler, refreshing snacks and ice-cold beverages. The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it the ideal spot for a lengthy, well-deserved break. The food tastes fresh and satisfying after the climb. The view alone justifies the sweat, but having such fantastic culinary options right there seals the deal. It’s an essential stop to recharge, capture some incredible photos of Ko Phi Phi, and savor a full meal. Don't rush past this gem—it’s worth every minute of your time.

Great view, especially during sunset! It’s a few very steep stairs, but so worth it. I recommend going up early in the morning or shortly before sun sets, depending on how fast you are and how much traffic there is on the stairs you’ll need a good 20-40 minutes (not including walking there). There’s lots of people up there during sunset, but you’ll be able to get a seat easily on some of the stones. We went up around 5:30pm and were perfectly able to see the sun set behind the mountain. Beware that you’ll need around 20 Baht per person to cross viewpoint one. If you made it to viewpoint 1 def go to viewpoint 2 - it’s only another 5-10min walk (and no more stairs). Definitely go there to catch a sunset, it’s really worth it (but can be crowded)! Another plus point: you’ll see some cute cats!

Beautiful view point couldn't fault it we went for sunrise which is most definitely better if you want less people. But im sure sunset has slightly better aesthetic. We went to early and left not long after su rise we never got charged. We also took the a route not the steps up which I though was easier and the steps down. So we came in behind the view point which was a nice jungle walk with a trail. Definitely worth the walk and the early alarm clock
