AKA Thailand brands itself a combat-sports luxury resort, and that is a fair description of the pitch: a large Phuket campus where Muay Thai, MMA, boxing and strength classes share the grounds with hotel-style accommodation, a pool and a restaurant, so the whole training holiday happens on one site. It is the sister camp of the famous American Kickboxing Academy in California, and the coaching roster mixes Thai trainers with international MMA coaches — the classes cover striking, grappling and conditioning at every level, with beginners a large share of the guests. Days follow the two-session camp rhythm, with an open timetable that lets fitness-first visitors mix Muay Thai with strength work, yoga and recovery rather than committing to fight training. That flexibility, plus the on-site rooms, makes AKA an easy first camp for someone who has never trained in Thailand and doesn't want to arrange a gym, a room and a scooter separately. Good to know: packages bundling training, accommodation and some meals are the standard way to book and are best arranged directly with the camp ahead of high season. The campus is in Phuket's south at Rawai, a few minutes from Nai Harn beach and 10–15 from Chalong. Walk-in single classes are available if you are staying elsewhere on the island.
