Reviews from Google
The BEST cooking class ever!! Apart from the fact that you can actually choose what to cook (1 salad, 1 soup, 1 stir fry, 1 curry paste, 1 curry stew + 2 desserts), which is very rare to find in such cooking classes we've previously taken, the place is spotless, clean & organized and all of the ingredients are the freshest. The cherry on top is Penny! She explains all of the recipes in such patience, and tells about the ingredients and how you can substitute them depending on where you're from, so you can actually succeed at cooking them at home. She had great energy, answered all of our questions, and made jokes during the entire class which made it so fun! The cooking part is quite short & quick which allows more time for her explanations but the outcome is amazing! The food we cooked was tastier than some of the most authentic Thai restaurants in Thailand, and it's a huge amount & variety, especially considering the length of the cooking time. Penny has 3 sessions you can choose from (morning, afternoon & evening), and I really recommend taking the morning class as it's usually less busy so you can all of her attention - in our morning class it was just me and my husband, so basically we had a private class! At the end of the class she sends the pictures of all the ingredients, as well as the recipes and the special Thai ingredients she recommends buying here in Thailand so you can get to the same unique taste even when you cook them back at home. The entire experience was 10 out of 10!! If you're in Krabi, this is one experience you definitely don't want to miss!
We were looking for a Thai cooking class and chose Penny Cooking School. It was a fantastic experience. Penny is truly a character — she knows how to entertain while teaching authentic recipes in a way that is never boring and incredibly simple. The result was the best Thai dishes we’ve ever had. The place is surrounded by greenery and is wonderfully peaceful. At the end of the class, during which Penny taught us techniques and ingredients, she sent us all the recipes and instructions via WhatsApp. A fantastic experience!
Penny made this experience so much fun! She is funny, passionate, helpful and knowledgeable. There are many cooking schools around but I"m so glad we chose Penny's Thai Charm Cooking School. The food was delicious and she was generous in every way. If you want to take a cooking class in Thailand, we highly recommend Penny. The most fun you will have learning!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
