The Fong Krabi Resort
Compare prices
Tucked along Thanon Vatchara in the Pak Nam neighbourhood of Krabi, The Fong Krabi Resort stands out less for grand facilities and more for the genuine warmth of the people running it. Owner Tony is consistently praised by guests for his attentiveness, generosity, and ability to make visitors feel personally looked after — a quality that is increasingly rare in resort accommodation at any price point. Staff members such as Wannipa have also drawn specific recognition for going beyond standard service expectations. The resort strikes a balance between simplicity and comfort, offering a clean, quiet environment that suits travellers who want to unwind rather than navigate a sprawling property. Its location near Pak Nam provides easy access to Krabi's most popular day-trip destinations, including the Phi Phi Islands and Railay Beach, with boat tours and water activities readily arrangeable in the area. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, making it a natural fit for couples, solo travellers, and anyone seeking a relaxed base for coastal exploration. Good to know: Krabi's dry season runs from November to April, with December through February representing peak demand. Booking in advance during this period is strongly recommended to secure availability. The resort operates around the clock, which makes it accommodating for guests with early arrivals or late departures.

Visitor Reviews
I am giving this resort 5 stars for Tony the restaurant owner who stole our hearts!!! We will not forget the generosity and gratitude that he consistently showed us throughout our stay. The housekeeping team, restaurant staff and Nicki all made our stay easy and pleasant. The room itself was not luxurious but has the most basic amenities like AC, soap, general shampoo, coffee and a daily bottle of water, aside from that the resort is beautiful. I have attached some photos for reference. + a bonus is the resort’s puppy Temi blessing us with her presence every morning.
Amazing experience at The Fong Resort, Krabi! 🌴 I recently visited the Kambi Resort and I was blown away by the incredible hospitality and service. The staff, especially Wannipa, went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. She was super helpful with bookings, answered all my queries, and even taught me some local Thai phrases 😊. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views and top-notch amenities. Loved every moment of my stay! Highly recommend Kambi Resort for anyone visiting Krabi. Will definitely be back! 👍"
Quiet, beautifully run, and exactly the kind of place you hope to find in Krabi but rarely do. The Fong is calm, clean and perfectly balanced between comfort and simplicity. Tony is an exceptional host, warm, attentive, passionate and his cooking is absolutely amazing. The whole team is genuinely kind and welcoming. And Tammi, the best doggo ever, greets you every morning and night. A true hidden gem. I cannot wait to be back!
