Krabi Island Adventure

The island hopping tour in Krabi was one of the most memorable parts of my trip, featuring absolutely stunning views of dramatic limestone cliffs rising from emerald waters and pristine beaches that felt like paradise. We visited several beautiful spots, enjoyed a relaxing and tasty lunch right on the beach with fresh seafood and fruits, and had an unexpected thrill when a huge monitor lizard made a surprise appearance, casually wandering nearby and adding a wild touch to the day. The boat ride itself was smooth, with plenty of opportunities for swimming and photos, making it a perfect way to experience the natural beauty of the Andaman Sea – highly recommended for anyone seeking breathtaking scenery and a bit of adventure!

The 4 island tour was a great experience. Went to some amazing beaches and got to do some snorkelling. Cost 2200 baht for a full day on a private long boat.

Good little trip with a good lunch but snorkeling left a lot to be desired. The stop we took to snorkel had only 2 or 3 types of fish to see and nothing terribly interesting. If you instead snorkel at the suggested area during the island where they provide lunch, then you get far better snorkelling with much more fish to see. It's still more limited than anywhere else that I have gone snorkeling or diving, but it's not bad at all. The buffet style lunch exceeded expectations, although if you want something spicy then ask in advance and they will spice a portion up for you (or you can bring a packet of your favourite spice). The normal dish that they say is spicy is tourist-spicy and will barely be detectable if you enjoy spicy foods but the food itself tastes great and they give you plenty to fill up on. There's drinking water provided as well so you are well taken care of. The people leading the tour are also very nice and personable. They do have to wait for stragglers at the islands but luckily on our boat the last people were only about 10 mins late and only for one of the islands so overall it wasn't an issue for us but that will depend on the other tourists and if they respect the time that the boat leaves. They don't provide fins, and the snorkels they provide are just the simple and cheap tubes so if you have your own like we did then it's very advisable to bring it since the better snorkels don't allow water to get in even if you dive below the water and so you don't need to get a mouth full of salt water at any point like you probably will with their gear.
