Bang Bang Bar
Tucked into the Ao Nang area of Krabi, this small but well-regarded bar has built a loyal following around the skills of its owner, Bang Bang, who crafts cocktails with fresh fruit, thoughtful garnishes, and evident attention to detail. The hands-on, personal approach sets it apart from larger tourist-facing venues, giving it the feel of a neighbourhood bar with genuine character. Visitors can expect a compact, casual setting with a sociable atmosphere. The drinks menu leans toward tropical cocktails and frozen blends, with Long Island iced teas and freshly mixed cocktails among the popular choices. Prices sit at the budget end of the scale for the region, though some cocktails reflect the quality of ingredients used. The bar draws a relaxed crowd of travellers and regulars, and the friendly environment makes it an easy place to linger longer than planned. Good to know: It is worth asking locally or checking with accommodation staff before heading over, particularly during low season when hours can be unpredictable. Given the bar's small size, it can get busy during peak evenings, so arriving earlier in the night gives a better chance of settling in and getting the full experience.

Reviews from Google
You MUST meet Bang Bang and his bar when visiting Railay Beach. He makes the best tropical cocktails I’ve ever had and puts so much care and love into them. The fresh fruit and meticulous way he crafts them makes them a delight to enjoy. He always has the best music on the speakers and creates a great environment to kick back and enjoy conversation. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.
The owner Bang Bang takes pride in his craft and makes phenomenal drinks and frozen cocktails. The bar is small but he has everything in his place with fresh fruits and garnishes and the service with flair. The prices are incredible as the drinks beat many of the larger well known bars in many major metropolitan areas
We loved our beautifuly mixed cocktails at the bang bang bar. We also enjoyed socialising with the bar doggo. 🍸🍹🐶

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
