Overlap Stone 2
Perched on a steep hill in the Maret area of Koh Samui, this natural viewpoint draws visitors with its striking overlapping rock formations and sweeping panoramic views across the island's coastline. The centrepiece is a large balancing rock that makes for a compelling photographic subject, while the elevated position offers sightlines to both sides of the island, making it one of the more rewarding scenic stops on Koh Samui. Visitors can expect a genuine sense of arrival at the top, with a restaurant on site that takes full advantage of the panoramic setting. The atmosphere is relatively peaceful compared to the island's more commercial attractions, and the combination of geological interest and coastal scenery appeals to a broad range of travellers. An entrance fee of 200 THB per person applies. Good to know: Getting to the top involves navigating a steep hill, so those arriving by scooter or car should be confident on steep inclines. A free shuttle truck is available from the base area for those who prefer not to drive the ascent themselves, with the final stretch of road unpaved. Visiting during daylight hours is strongly recommended to make the most of the views and photography opportunities. The site is open around the clock, but early morning visits tend to offer clearer skies and a quieter experience before tour groups arrive.

Visitor Reviews
Amazing spot on top of the hill. Need to know that it’s a steep hill to drive up so if you’re driving by yourself, just be careful., if you don’t have experience driving on steep hills, better take a special taxi from the bottom. Also, it’s around 300 -400 meters to walk up a steep hill, so also best to wear sneakers. The view is incredible. It’s lots of spots for photos and videos. There is also a restaurant we haven’t tried yet but for sure I will come back one day to do that. Recommend for everyone visiting Samui to come over here and enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean.
The most beautiful location on the entire island. A lot of instapoints with a great panoramic view to both sides. The entrance fee is 200tbh per person and it's totally worth it. There is a nice restaurant with pretty high prices. You can walk there about 10 minutes from the latest bike parking, or they arrange free shuttle. The only cons - it's too crowded.
Overlap Stone is an amazing viewpoint with breathtaking views over Koh Samui. The huge balancing rock is impressive and makes for great photos. The short hike up adds a bit of adventure, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to enjoy nature. Highly recommended!
