Silom Thai Cooking School is consistently top-rated (half-day, ~1,500 THB). Baipai Thai Cooking School offers a more upscale setting. Maliwan Thai Cooking Class is great value. Most include hotel pickup, market visit, and 3-5 dishes. Book at least a day ahead in peak season.

Are Bangkok river cruises worth it?

The Chao Phraya tourist boat (150 THB day pass) is one of Bangkok's best-value experiences — hop on and off at temples and piers. For dinner, the Supanniga Cruise offers excellent Thai food on a smaller boat. Skip the large floating-buffet cruises unless you want a party atmosphere.
