Asiatique Sky
Asiatique Sky is the signature ferris wheel attraction at Asiatique Riverfront, rising above the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok's Bang Kho Laem district. The ride offers elevated views of the river and city skyline, making it a popular evening activity for visitors already exploring the Asiatique shopping and dining complex. Entry to the riverfront precinct itself is free, with the ferris wheel operating as a separately ticketed experience within it. Visitors can expect a relaxed, scenic ride best enjoyed after dark when the city lights and riverside atmosphere are at their most atmospheric. The experience is straightforward rather than thrilling — reviewers note it is a pleasant novelty rather than a standout attraction compared to observation wheels in other major cities. The surrounding Asiatique complex adds value to the visit, with a wide range of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options that give the evening more depth beyond the ride itself. Good to know: Tickets for the ferris wheel are priced at 600 THB, which some visitors consider steep relative to the experience. Those on a tighter budget may prefer to skip the ride and instead enjoy the riverfront dining and free atmosphere of the precinct. Arriving in the evening is strongly recommended, as the views and ambiance are significantly better after sunset. Parking is free for two-wheelers but charged for cars, so arriving by BTS Skytrain (Saphan Taksin) and taking the free Asiatique shuttle boat is a practical and convenient alternative.

Visitor Reviews
It is a beautiful place. Entry os free. But if you're coming in car then will need to pay parking, otherwise no parking charge for 2-wheelers. It's a place consisting of various branded shops, bigC mall for your daily needs, Jurassic world, fountains, sculptures and mainly a lot of restaurants and food plazas, of which some need pre-reservation. And the main attraction ferries wheel. Don't miss that if you want to see Bangkok atop.
Asiatique Sky is a beautiful and adventurous ride at Asiatique Riverfront. It is one of the main attractions and gives a wonderful experience, especially in the evening and at night. The ferris wheel cabins are clean and comfortable, and some have a glass floor option, which makes the ride more exciting and fun. Standing on the glass floor and looking down is a unique experience for visitors who enjoy a little thrill. From the top of the wheel, the view is amazing. You can clearly see the Chao Phraya River, Asiatique Riverfront, nearby buildings, and the glowing city skyline. During sunset and nighttime, the scenery looks even more beautiful with colorful lights and reflections on the river. The ride moves smoothly and slowly, giving enough time to enjoy the view and take photos. It is suitable for families, couples, and tourists who want a relaxing and memorable moment. Overall, Asiatique Sky is a must-try ride for anyone visiting Asiatique. Highly recommended for great views, photos, and a pleasant experience in Bangkok.
I have been on many Observation Wheels on my travels. Whilst this isn't the most impressive compared to others, it is nice to do once and I would recommend going. Asiatique Sky is located in Asiatique The Riverfront, with views of the city and the Chao Phraya River. I went at sunset. I would suggest going at the same time or in the evening. The ride lasts around fifteen minutes. I paid 600 THB for an adult ticket (December, 2025). Your party will have their own capsule. As a solo traveller, I had a capsule to myself.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
