Alangkarn Waterfall
Alangkarn Waterfall is an indoor waterfall installation located on the 6th floor of IconSiam, one of Bangkok's most celebrated riverside shopping destinations in the Khlong San district. Drawing inspiration from Thailand's rice fields and farming heritage, the space blends art, design, and cultural storytelling into a visually dramatic centrepiece that stands out even within a mall renowned for its ambitious interiors. The waterfall features colour-changing lighting effects that shift the atmosphere throughout the day, making it a popular stop for photography and leisurely exploration. Entry is free and no ticket is required, making it an accessible addition to any visit to IconSiam. The surrounding area includes cafes where visitors can sit, relax, and take in the display without feeling rushed. The atmosphere is more contemplative than typical mall spaces, with the sound and movement of the cascading water creating a genuinely calming environment amid the bustle of one of Bangkok's busiest retail hubs. Good to know: The waterfall runs on a schedule rather than continuously, so arriving a few minutes early is worthwhile to catch the full show from the beginning. Visitors who miss the start time can wait comfortably at the adjacent cafe until the next cycle. IconSiam is easily reached by the BTS Gold Line or by river taxi via the Charoen Nakhon pier, making it straightforward to combine with other riverside attractions in the area.

Visitor Reviews
The Alangkarn Waterfall zone at ICONSIAM absolutely took my breath away! ✨ Inspired by Thailand’s rice fields and farming culture, the space feels more like an art gallery than just a dining area 🎨 The 15-meter indoor waterfall cascading from above symbolizes “heavenly rain” — a tribute to nature’s way of nourishing life 🌾💧 Each dining pavilion here has a unique form, beautifully crafted with elements like rice grains, silk cocoons, and pumpkins — a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern metal artistry. It’s truly a feast for both the eyes and the soul 📸 Peaceful, elegant, and full of character — this is hands down one of my favorite corners in Bangkok🇹🇭
Really nice waterfall in the middle of the mall. It would keep on changing color making it look really nice and it was just beautiful. The whole waterfall was just awesome. Very nice and you should definitely go here if you go to ICONSIAM. this was so nice and there was a whole bunch of people recording it because of how nice it was. If it is turned off then it will turn back on within 10 seconds. No wait. Amazing photos. Amazing look. Amazing. 5 stars. And there was even a restaurant below or something. I definitely recommend this place to Go to if you want to go to ICONSIAM.
Alangkarn Waterfall is located on the 6th floor of Iconsiam mall. Entry is free and no ticket is needed. The waterfall is beautiful. It reminds me of Changi airport of Singapore. Right next to the waterfall, there’s a spacious restaurant serving food of international standards. Whether you’re shopping, dining, or just exploring, this spot offers a unique blend of art, culture, and relaxation that shouldn’t be missed.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
