THAN Spa & Massage Phuket
Situated on Ranong Road in the Talat Nuea area of Phuket, THAN Spa & Massage has established itself as a respected wellness destination among both travellers and locals. The spa specialises in traditional Thai massage and body treatments, delivered by professional therapists in a setting that visitors consistently describe as clean, private, and genuinely relaxing. The atmosphere is attentive from the moment guests arrive, with welcoming staff and a calm environment designed to encourage full unwinding. Treatments are well-regarded for their depth and technique, with guests frequently noting the quality of muscle work and the therapeutic effect of sessions. The massage rooms are private and peaceful, and the overall experience appears to reflect a commitment to genuine care rather than a high-turnover tourist operation. A welcome treat on arrival adds a considered touch to the experience. As with most spas in Phuket, it is advisable to book ahead, particularly during peak season when availability can be limited. One review does note a less comfortable foot massage experience, so travellers with specific sensitivities or preferences are encouraged to communicate clearly with therapists before the session begins. The central Ranong Road location makes THAN Spa easy to combine with exploring nearby shops and dining options in the area, making it a practical and worthwhile stop for those prioritising wellness during a Phuket visit.

Visitor Reviews
I was impressed from the moment I walked into Than Spa. The staff at the reception were attentive, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The massage room was private, clean, and very peaceful — perfect for relaxation. I will definitely come back again. The only downside is that the room wasn’t very soundproof, so I could hear some footsteps and small noises when people walked by.
Wow, I had an amazing experience here. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by polite staff and calming music. We enjoyed a welcome treat and thoroughly enjoyed our massages — the masseurs were very professional and rigorous. Overall, a very clean and calming place with a very relaxing atmosphere. Would recommend.
One of the best massages, if not THE BEST, that I ever got in my life. Staff are very friendly and professional. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere. 10/10 definitely coming back before I head home from my vacation! Thank you THAN spa for your beautiful service and hospitality!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
