Anfield Cafe
Tucked along Yaowarad Road in Phuket's characterful Old Town, this budget-friendly bar has carved out a niche as a Liverpool FC supporter's hub — a rare find in Thailand that draws both dedicated Reds and curious travellers looking for a lively local hangout beyond the Patong Beach strip. The atmosphere is a genuine draw. Live music sets the tone before match screenings, with resident performer Tate earning consistent praise from visitors for keeping the energy high. The crowd builds as the night progresses, making it one of those places that genuinely gets better the longer you stay. Drinks are straightforward and honestly priced — no service charges or hidden taxes — with Thai whiskey among the specialities. Note that match commentary is broadcast in Thai rather than English, which is worth knowing for football fans planning a visit on a matchday. Good to know: The bar opens at 10:00 AM daily, so it works just as well for a quiet afternoon drink as it does for a late night out. Friday and Saturday hours extend to 2:00 AM, while other nights close at midnight. The Old Town location means it sits naturally alongside local restaurants and heritage shophouses, making it an easy addition to an evening exploring the neighbourhood rather than a dedicated trip out.

Visitor Reviews
Wow..can't believe there is a liverpool hangout spot in Thailand. I visited this place a few weeks back on a non liverpool match but still the place was buzzing. I really like the Live music and the service provided was outstanding. The food is not that great but regular pub eats. Love to come back again...YNWA
I recommend this place to every Liverpool fan. The only downside is that the match commentary is in Thai rather than English. Before the game, there’s live music, which creates a great atmosphere and really sets the mood.
Awesome bar. The atmosphere is fantastic - Tate is a superb singer and performer. The place is fun and friendly. The service is great too

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
