Naraya Massage&Relax Chiangrai
Situated on Phaholyothin Road in the heart of Chiang Rai's main district, this massage spa offers a range of therapeutic treatments rooted in Thai wellness traditions, including foot massage and oil massage. The setting is described by visitors as clean, comfortable, and genuinely relaxing, making it a reasonable option for travellers looking to unwind after a day of sightseeing. A second location has also opened near the night market, giving visitors flexibility depending on where they're staying.
Foot massages are available at competitive prices — one visitor noted a one-hour session at 250 baht — making it one of the more affordable options in the area. Experiences vary between therapists, with some visitors praising attentive, professional service and others finding the pressure too light or the technique inconsistent. Requesting a specific pressure level at the start of your session is advisable, though reviews suggest this may not always be accommodated.

Reviews from Google
I had a one-hour oil massage and it was excellent. The place has a very relaxing atmosphere, clean and comfortable. The therapist was professional, attentive, and made sure everything was adjusted to my needs. The massage was both relaxing and effective, and I left feeling refreshed and renewed. Highly recommended!
Price is cheaper than the rest. But service is so so. Despite us asking them to massage harder, they are unable to fulfil the request. And they keep on taking to each other, lacking focus.
Listen to the other review, time is counted from the second you approach them, before you even get inside, so the actual massage was only 45-50 minutes. Not 1h. My masseuse was great , too bad it wasn't a full hour. However, my partners masseuse didn't know massage techniques at all and at the end, he kept asking where my partner was, while he was in the bathroom changing from the pants they gave him. I told him he is in the bathroom, he said no, and continued to ask where my partner is while standing by the bathroom door, it was an uncomfortable experience.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
