Jinda Massage 진다 치앙마이
Tucked along Ratchapakhinai Road in central Chiang Mai, this well-regarded massage shop has built a strong reputation among both visitors and long-term residents of Thailand for delivering authentic, skilled therapeutic massage. The therapists are noted for their technical ability, with guests reporting genuine relief from muscle pain and back issues — not simply a surface-level relaxation experience. Visitors can choose from traditional Thai massage and full body oil massage, with treatments available from around 500 baht. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming, and the staff are consistently praised for their friendliness and attentiveness, particularly towards first-time massage clients. Fresh hot tea is offered after treatments, adding a thoughtful finishing touch. The combination of skilled hands-on work, warm service, and accessible pricing makes it a practical choice for travellers staying in the city center. Good to know: Specific opening hours are not listed online, so it is advisable to stop by in person or inquire at a nearby hotel for current scheduling. As with most traditional Thai massage shops, arriving in loose, comfortable clothing is recommended, and carrying cash is a sensible precaution as card payment may not always be accepted.

Visitor Reviews
It was my first time getting a massage in Thailand, I got the full body Oil massage, with Sakura oil for 500 baht. It was extremely good and relaxing, if you feel pain you can ask to go less hard but personally it was perfect for me ! All the ladies taking care of us were extremely kind and sweet. The massage left me so relaxed and released a lot of the tension I had all over the body. Even better than my physiotherapist appointments. After the massage you are served with hot tea for you to enjoy and some biscuits. I would definitely recommend for a relaxing moment 😊
It was my first time getting a massage, and I got the full body oil massage for 500baht. It's absolutely worth it! All the ladies were so kind, the massage was amazing and afterwards there's fresh hot tea for you to enjoy. I would definitely recommend it!
My wife and I visited the massage shop right next to our hotel—such an amazing experience! The masseurs are incredibly skilled (one of them literally fixed my back), and the prices are surprisingly affordable. Highly recommended!
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
