The Garden Phuket
Tucked along Chaofah Road in the Chalong area of southern Phuket, The Garden Phuket is a cafe-restaurant that has earned a strong following for its combination of beautiful surroundings, attentive service, and a menu that genuinely impresses. The setting is stylish yet relaxed, with a garden environment that creates a cosy, unhurried atmosphere suited to leisurely breakfasts, catch-up lunches, and evening meals alike. The owner and staff are frequently praised by visitors for making guests feel genuinely welcome from the moment they arrive. The food is a clear highlight. Dishes span all-day dining occasions, with standouts including a caramelised French toast that has drawn comparisons to top cafes in Europe. Reviewers consistently describe the menu as one of the more interesting and varied they have encountered in Phuket, with quality that keeps people returning. The coffee also receives regular praise, making it a reliable stop for a morning brew or an afternoon sit-down. Good to know: The Garden Phuket opens at 8:00 AM and closes at 10:30 PM every day of the week, making it easy to fit into any itinerary without worrying about days off. The location on Chaofah Road offers good parking availability, which is a practical bonus in this part of Phuket. Visiting during mid-morning or early afternoon on weekdays tends to be quieter. We love this place! Excellent location and plenty of parking. The menu is one of the best we’ve seen in Phuket. We always feel so welcome by their amazing staff. Great coffee! Our daughter loves their chicken schnitzel, which is one of the best we’ve ever tried. They have their own yummy version of the famous Khao Soi Thai dish, they offer Australian premium beef in their carnivore dishes and salads. The mini burgers are seriously the best! Made with beef or chicken. Their pancakes are crazy good! They sometimes offer fermented foods as well. Truly delicious! At the counter they sell these really nice truffles which are a must try! Highly recommend visiting!
We came here for a girls’ brunch and absolutely loved it 🤍 The atmosphere is beautiful — stylish, cosy, and full of such lovely energy. The owner is incredibly welcoming and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel even more special. The menu is fantastic: great variety, delicious flavours, and everything felt thoughtfully curated. A perfect spot for brunch with friends — we’ll definitely be back.
I love the food in Italy & France (Burgundy, Paris etc) So I am very pleasantly surprised that the French Toast Caramelised here is sooooooo good. It beats most cafes' in France & Italy in my opinion. Their Mini Burger is also v good too. Juicy & the Cheese & Grilled burger smelled awesome ! I will definitely come again. 😋👍👍👍 P.S. Easy parking just outside the restaurant

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
