Silhouette By Reverie Siam
Tucked into the laid-back mountain town of Pai, this upscale bar and restaurant offers something noticeably different from the casual cafes and street food stalls the town is known for. The interior carries a colonial-style aesthetic with comfortable seating and a warm, intimate ambiance that visitors consistently describe as romantic — making it a popular choice for couples and anyone looking to mark a special occasion with a proper sit-down meal. The menu leans toward Western fare, with steak drawing particular praise from diners. Cocktails and wines are available, with glasses running around 280 baht — higher than typical Pai pricing, but reviewers note the quality justifies the cost and compares favourably to what you would pay for a similar experience elsewhere. The kitchen and bar both receive strong marks, and the overall atmosphere reinforces the sense of occasion without feeling stiff or overly formal. Silhouette by Reverie Siam is open every day from noon to 10 PM, giving visitors flexibility for both lunch and evening visits. Prices sit at the higher end for the Pai area, so it is worth setting expectations accordingly — though most guests find the value reasonable given the setting and quality on offer. For those planning a dinner visit, especially on weekends or as part of a romantic evening, booking ahead or arriving early is a sensible precaution. More details are available through the Reverie Siam website.

Visitor Reviews
I had dinner at Silhouette by Reverie Siam last night with a friend, and it was exactly what we needed after a long week. We both went for the steak, shared a couple of glasses of wine, and couldn't resist ordering dessert. The steak was cooked just right—tender, flavorful, and honestly hit the spot. The wine selection was solid, and our server had good recommendations. By the time dessert arrived, we were already pretty content, but it was a nice way to wrap things up. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere. It's got that upscale hotel restaurant vibe—polished without being stuffy. Jazz played softly in the background, adding a nice touch without overwhelming conversation. It felt like the kind of place where you can actually relax and enjoy yourself without any pretense. The service was attentive but not hovering, which I always appreciate. Our server checked in at the right moments and gave us space when we were clearly deep in conversation. Is it groundbreaking? No. But sometimes you don't need groundbreaking—you just need good food, good company, and a comfortable setting. Silhouette delivered on all three. Would definitely come back when I'm looking for a reliable spot for a nice evening out.
Lovely place with very good food and very reasonable prices - especially considering the beauty of the place. The interior has some colonial style vibes with comfy seats. The restaurant is indoor but has an outdoor atmosphere since it's fully open to the garden on one side. They take pride in their wines and have sommeliers at hand to help you choosing. Pork ribs were delicious and the cocktails were also really good. Definitely recommend!
We were looking for a nice spot for a romantic dinner and found this place — what a success! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but it’s definitely worth it — great value for money. Highly recommended!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
