Why go, and how to do it well
The view does the heavy lifting here, and there's no point pretending otherwise. You're up above Ao Nang looking out over the coastline and the limestone karsts, and at around six in the evening the light on that bay is the reason the terrace fills up. The food is Thai, familiar rather than adventurous, and priced at the upper end for Krabi. If you came for a cheap plate of pad thai, the shophouses down in town will do you better for a fraction of the money. If you came to sit somewhere lovely with a drink in your hand and watch the day end, this is the spot.
Ask for outdoor seating when you book. Inside is fine, but it defeats the purpose. Lunch is quieter and the karsts look just as good in flat midday light, so it's a decent option if you'd rather not fight for a sunset table.
