Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort
Compare prices
Set in the Nongtalay area outside Krabi town, this Sofitel property earns its destination-resort status through an unusually broad range of on-site facilities. A championship golf course and a full-service spa sit at the heart of the offering, drawing both sports-focused travellers and those seeking dedicated relaxation. The architecture makes a strong first impression, and the lush tropical landscaping carries that sense of occasion throughout the grounds. Multiple dining options, well-appointed rooms, and daily programmed activities give the resort a self-contained quality that suits guests who plan to spend meaningful time on the property rather than simply sleep there. Families are particularly well catered for, with activities designed for guests of different ages and an atmosphere that consistently strikes visitors as calm and attentive. The resort does not have a private beach, but a quiet public beach sits directly across the road — a practical alternative that guests regularly describe as peaceful and uncrowded. Some rooms reflect the property's origins in 2006, so those wanting a fresher space are advised to request a recently renovated room at the time of booking. As a destination resort located away from the town centre, arranging transport in advance is worthwhile for anyone planning to explore the wider Krabi region. The property rewards multi-night stays far more than short stopovers. Booking early is recommended during peak season, and it is worth confirming current package options at the time of reservation, as bundles combining golf rounds or spa access can represent good value.

Visitor Reviews
I recently stayed at Sofitel Krabi and overall had a very pleasant experience. Although the resort doesn’t have a private beach, the public beach right across the road is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. It feels uncrowded and laid-back, making it a great spot for a relaxed walk or to catch the sunset without the usual tourist rush. The hotel facilities are solid and well maintained. The lagoon-style pool is spacious, and the overall property feels expansive. The rooms are generously sized, comfortable, and suitable for both short and longer stays. One highlight is that some garden-facing rooms offer direct access to the pool. Being able to step straight out from your terrace and into the water is incredibly convenient and adds a resort-style touch to the stay. Breakfast buffet was another strong point. There was a good variety of options, and the open, airy setting made the experience even more enjoyable. Starting the day with a relaxed breakfast and a wide, open view really set the tone for the rest of the day. Overall, it’s a great option in Krabi if you’re looking for space, comfort, and a calm atmosphere.
Beware - you will not want to leave this resort anymore :-) From the start to departure this hotel has exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our family getaway, the resort is fully setup for families including kids club, kids pool and many daily activities to keep your little ones entertained. The team throughout the property was very attentive, friendly and always willing to assist. Kudos to the management team for putting together such a cheerful team. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable time. Credit to Chef Pedro for setting a fantastic culinary experience in all outlets - amenities exceeded all our expecations and probably the best I have seen at any hotel including storytelling. Heartists Sao, Lita, Som, Jib, Jah, May and Lucie were standouts!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sofitel Krabi Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived, the hotel was simply stunning — the entrance and overall atmosphere immediately set the tone for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. The pool is huge and beautiful, one of the best we’ve experienced! We especially loved the swim-up bar in the middle — such a great place to relax and enjoy the day. A very special thank you to the amazing Poda Team at the bar: Sky, Sem, Na, Palmy, Bok, Rak, Bao, and Kim. You all made our experience even more memorable with your excellent service, warm smiles, and great energy. The staff truly made the difference! We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return again. Thank you for such a fantastic stay! 🌴✨
