Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

4.7(3,574 reviews)

This is a stay-put resort, and you should treat it as one. The grounds are big, the lagoon-style pool is bigger, and there's a swim-up bar in the middle of it that guests keep singling out by name in their reviews. Add a golf course, a spa, several restaurants and a daily activities programme, and you've got a place that rewards a few nights rather than an overnight stop. Families get the most out of it: kids club, kids pool, and enough scheduled things to do that nobody gets bored by day three.

There's no private beach. What there is instead is a quiet public beach directly across the road, uncrowded enough that people go there for sunset walks and to reach beachfront restaurants on foot. I'd call that a fair trade. The property opened in 2006 and some rooms show it, so ask about a renovated one when you book. Rooms are generously sized either way.

Reviews from Google

I recently stayed at Sofitel Krabi and overall had a very pleasant experience. Although the resort doesn’t have a private beach, the public beach right across the road is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. It feels uncrowded and laid-back, making it a great spot for a relaxed walk or to catch the sunset without the usual tourist rush. The hotel facilities are solid and well maintained. The lagoon-style pool is spacious, and the overall property feels expansive. The rooms are generously sized, comfortable, and suitable for both short and longer stays. One highlight is that some garden-facing rooms offer direct access to the pool. Being able to step straight out from your terrace and into the water is incredibly convenient and adds a resort-style touch to the stay. Breakfast buffet was another strong point. There was a good variety of options, and the open, airy setting made the experience even more enjoyable. Starting the day with a relaxed breakfast and a wide, open view really set the tone for the rest of the day. Overall, it’s a great option in Krabi if you’re looking for space, comfort, and a calm atmosphere.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sofitel Krabi Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived, the hotel was simply stunning — the entrance and overall atmosphere immediately set the tone for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. The pool is huge and beautiful, one of the best we’ve experienced! We especially loved the swim-up bar in the middle — such a great place to relax and enjoy the day. A very special thank you to the amazing Poda Team at the bar: Sky, Sem, Na, Palmy, Bok, Rak, Bao, and Kim. You all made our experience even more memorable with your excellent service, warm smiles, and great energy. The staff truly made the difference! We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return again. Thank you for such a fantastic stay! 🌴✨

Everyone is very nice and kind, the hotel is perfect also for families with very nice activities proposed everyday! Our room was a bit old, however the hotel is dated back to 2006, can be happen. All the services were amazing and the atmosphere is very relaxing, perfect to have some offline time. A bit far away from the centre but easy to reach thanks to the hotel shuttle (extra fee) or taxi. Very nice to walk on the seaside and reach some nice restaurants directly from the beach 🏖️
