Two kitchens under one roof is the draw here, with Thai dishes alongside Indian ones, which on Phi Phi is a genuinely useful thing to find when you've had your fill of pad thai and grilled fish. Curry cravings get answered, and the people you're traveling with who don't want curry get answered too. It's open-air and casual, part of a guesthouse property, so it feels lived-in rather than staged for the ferry crowd.
The hours are the other reason to keep it in your back pocket. Nine in the morning to midnight, every day, means it works for a slow breakfast, a late lunch after a boat trip, dinner, or just a beer when everything else has stopped serving food. Mid-range prices, so you're not paying beach-view premiums for the privilege.
My advice is to go early in the evening during high season. Phi Phi fills up fast and the good tables go first, and this isn't a huge place. If you turn up at eight with a group of six, expect to wait.
