Share Restaurant - Koh Samui

4.8(601 reviews)

Situated directly on Chaweng Beach, Share Restaurant has built a strong following among visitors to Koh Samui's busiest coastal strip. The kitchen leans toward European and international cuisine, with dishes like salmon crudo, tuna tartare, homemade truffle fettuccine, and grilled sea bass drawing consistent praise from diners. Burgers, fresh salads, and an impressive Napoleon cake round out a menu that covers everything from light beachside lunches to more indulgent evening meals. The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and refined — casual enough for a post-swim lunch, yet attentive enough to feel special for celebrations. The team has a reputation for going the extra mile on occasions like anniversaries, setting up decorated tables and personalising the experience for guests. Service is frequently described as friendly and efficient, and quieter periods during the afternoon offer a more intimate dining experience with faster turnaround. Good to know: Specific opening hours are not readily available online, so visitors should confirm current times directly with the restaurant or through their accommodation. The beachfront setting on Chaweng means casual attire is perfectly appropriate. Given the restaurant's popularity and its track record with celebrations, those planning a special occasion would do well to arrange details in advance rather than arriving without notice.

Visitor Reviews

We visited Share Restaurant today for a late lunch around 4:00 pm. The place was quite empty at that time, so it felt like we almost had it to ourselves. The service was very quick, extremely friendly, and professional. The staff speak very good English and really know how to take care of guests. The food, however, was even better than the service. They welcomed us with complimentary bread. Very nice. I ordered the sea bass with grilled vegetables. The fish was very tasty, but the vegetables were the highlight for me — perfectly cooked and full of flavor, especially with the garlic, which I really enjoyed. My wife chose the Crudo Salmon starter, and it was one of the best salmon dishes she has ever had. The fish was very fresh and served with a delicious white sauce that complemented it perfectly. Our son ordered two dishes: Salmon Tartare as a starter and Chicken Schnitzel as his main course. He found both dishes very delicious and well prepared. Our daughter went for the pepperoni pizza and said it was very good, especially considering the price and quality. We ended up with Tiramisu, just simply the best we had on the island so far. Price-wise, the restaurant is not the cheapest, but the atmosphere and overall experience definitely make it worth it. We also found it funny that, even though we visited on January 25th, they still had a Christmas tree and decorations. Another nice touch was their sign saying they are still waiting for Michelin to visit. The staff were friendly, professional, and had a great sense of humor, which made the experience even better. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

Had the best homemade fettuccine pasta ever. Truffle sauce, real mushrooms, cream and loads of cheese. Napoleon is top notch - wet, but not falling apart, not too sweet and perfectly balanced. Mango tart is like a gentle soulful kiss - with some type of cream/cottage cheese, and pastry is great overall. Atmosphere is extremely welcoming, owner hosts you and takes care of all nuances of serving really different food. Design is outstanding - so many hanging flowers and lamps make you feel like in a magical place.

Great food! the burgers were amazing and tender, and the overall was just awesome. Nice atmosphere, the entire vibe of the restaurant is great and comforting. Very nice staff and owner, they will make you feel welcome in any way they can; very helpful and polite. To wrap this up, I thought all of the food was great and I would definitely go again. Also I wanted to mention how it's very accessible to other languages, including English,Thai,Russian,Hebrew, etc.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
